Usually love this place, however probably will not be retuning. Called and spoke with manager about my big party coming in and requested the patio. I was told another large party would be going in at the same time b and was also on the patio. I told him ok I would like the front of the patio Because I donât want to sit next to a large party. He then told me, yes I can make that work for you, however when we showed up that was not the case. They tried to sit us in the middle of the patio and our tables not even together. When I asked to speak to the manager he argued with me that he never told me I could have the either side of the patio!! How can a manger argue with the customer who brings in a large party! Why would anything want to sit in the MIDDLE of the patio not to mention we sat next to the large party, so it was very hard to hear anything when talking with my daughter who was celebrating her birthday. We also had waiters bringing out food that we never did order!! Was asked over and over if we ordered beer or certain food items. One waitress even said sorry Iâm just bringing out food and idk where it goes. We were even asked about a Beer from the bar they tried to serve us. The bar tender brought a beer and we said we did not order a beer his response was â swearâ very unprofessional. We hardly saw our waitress. Seems like other waiters were bring out our food and when being giving the food all the could say was â is this yoursâ not only that but when asked if they do anything special for birthdays our waitress said sure we do ice cream. Want some? We said ok. Only to find out that they charge you for their â birthdayâ treat!? If that was the case we wouldnât have mentioned it was her birthday in the first place! Long review, but will not...
Read moreWe are full time Rvâers. We had just arrived in Lubbock, Texas on our way from Tacoma, Washington to Aubrey,Texas. We had driven our car to eat at Bubbaâs 33 located on Slides Row in Lubbock. Unbeknownst to us we had a protective heavy plastic piece under our car that protects the undercarriage that had come loose during our drive to Lubbock and it was dragging on the ground. I was unable to work it loose to try to tie it back up, As I was attempting my Feeble attempt an employee from Bubba 33 his name was Canon asked if he could help. Canon was just leaving work and going to get in his car when he noticed the problem that we had with a big smile and a kind heart and a soft voice he said can I help you and I told him what the problem was and he laid on his back on the ground in the parking lot and proceeded to tie the protective plastic for the undercarriage of my car back in place so we could drive home safe safely . I attempted to give him some money for his effort, but he waved it off politely refused, saying itâs the right thing to do. If Canon is indicative of the other employees at Bubbaâs 33 I commend the managers and I commend the type of people you hire. Canon was a lifesaver and helped us out greatly so we could get back after we ate at Bubba 33âs safely. Cannon should be recommended for some type of award for being a kind heart and a helpful person and a shining example of what a good employee is in a good person. Sincerely, Rob and...
Read moreWe arrived on a Friday night.
Wait time was 26 minutes for 2 people.
Atmosphere is a generic blend of southern, classics, and roadhouse(sister company)
The people at the front were a bit frustrated, flustered from the pertinent assembly of waiting patrons. As no smiles were warm enough to say a true howdy or hello.
Proceeding to the table, we sat in a booth, and our waitress was vocal and a breath of fresh air. She's a student at Texas tech and had no fear engaging in sincere conversation. The jokes and ice breakers were at a positive point, immediately bettering the initial arrival.
The drinks were adequate, one of the orders got mixed up, but was quickly rectified.
The crooked cheesesticks were quite underwhelming as its just a spiraled cheesestick, the breading was quite nice. But not a scratch item.
The main food was as it should be, delicious. Their side salads are a main attraction, with the lemon basil vinegrette and ranch combination.
We both had the choice steak, that's marinated in coffee. The smokey flavor highlights with the acidity and overall depth. Unfortunately, the steak was different temperatures from front to back. It was medium well in the front and right under medium towards the back. I ate most of it, didn't finish due to the inconsistent temp.
The side item of garlic mashed potatoes is a must for anyone who loves...
