The worst experience Iâve had in quite a long time. To sum it up it was like a bad episode of that bar rescue show.
Service was incredibly slow. The AC is either broken or non existent. They told us to sit wherever. It wasnât terribly busy and emptied out quite a bit while we were there. It took over 15 minutes just for the server to come by and give us menus and order drinks. Drinks took another 15 minutes. Ordered an appetizer when they brought drinks. After another 15-20 minutes of nobody coming by I tried to go find someone to check us out at about the 45 min mark and stood at the hostess counter for a few minutes but nobody showed up. Went back to the table and waited for someone to notice me standing wanting to leave my table. At about the one hour mark my appetizer showed up and I asked them to take it back and bring us the ticket for the few drinks we had received. The server seemed agitated. The owner or manager of the establishment was standing nearby just watching the tv. We paid for 2 decent mixed drinks and two warm beers. Should have just walked.    Read moreThis evening my friends and I went to Champs like we usually do for wing Wednesday. When I arrived, my two friends had been waiting for 20 minutes already. They made eye contact with 4 different servers, and not one of them stopped to even bring us water. After the first 20 minutes of waiting my other friend went up to a server just to ask about being served. She continued to explain to him that the kitchen was backed up and we would have to wait for food. He came to sit back down thinking that a server would stop by. In that time a couple that we watched walk in was helped in under 2 minutes by the same server my friend spoke to. We decided to give it 5 more minutes. One more server walked past us straight to the host stand and still didnât acknowledge us. So, after 30 minutes of waiting we walked out. As we walked passed her she was just going up there to charge her phone. We are a group of servers here in town as well. We are always very understanding, but this was absolutely unacceptable.    Read moreWe were so excited to try a new spot and had high hopes. Walked in to the front entrance where a host stand had a sign directing guests to seat themselves. The place was completely full with the exception of two booths, which could have been used for seating, but were occupied with employee supplies. Didnât see any staff but one server in the place. Walked around the restaurant looking for any place to sit or staff to assist and found neither. We decided to head out to a familiar spot. Worst part of the experience was as we left and a man (whom we assumed was an employee) was on the steps and asked why we were leaving. I politely stated that there was no place to sit and he responded with a vile and crude response that I will not repeat that astonished me and my husband.
