Today I went to chicken express at this location. I had ordered a 16 piece family chicken strip meal and a #3 meal with all breast side of mash potatoes and fries. They forgot my fries and mash so I went into the dine in for my sides. They ended up giving me someone else’s order and I didn’t realize until I got to work. I called them and let them know they messed up my order. They laughed and thought it was a joke. One guy said can I come back I told them no I am at work until 7am. They said if I want a refund to bring the food in the morning, while laughing. Then another guy named mark had got on the phone, told me that they will send me a gift card I asked when would I received that gift card and they said idk so nonchalant while having an attitude. I also asked him who was I speaking with before him and he said idk they just handed me the phone like how do you not know your coworkers name.?? I then told them that his attitude was so unprofessional and he said who cares and started laughing. I asked for the number to corporate and he said no and told me to have a nice day. I will never go back to that place again EVER…! If this is how chicken express runs they business and let their employees talk to customers any kind of way. That place should either be shut down or have they employees go through some kind of better training.
The TruthThe Truth
The guy in the black shirt walked straight from the bathroom to the back line, without ever washing his hands. Then he grabbed a bunch of food from the fridge as if it was nothing. Then, the manager in the purple shirt told him to wash his hands. Immediately after he washed his hands, he pulled a drink from under the food line and started drinking out of it, holding the lid in his hand, before going back to touching more food. Although the manager told him to wash his hands after I complained, he proceeded to tell me that I was lying and he personally watched him wash his hands. Rather than care about food safety, the manager got upset and told me to leave, that's why I took the pictures.

The pandemic is over and yet Chicken Express still allows no dine-in. This is a terrible management decision that stems from laziness, mis-management and petty greed from a franchisee owner looking to penny pinch. The excuse on the drive thru window reads some political drivel about not being able to hire people. There are kids looking for jobs all over Lubbock currently. The line still takes literally 25 minutes or more to get through. A model of inefficiency here that kind of boggles the mind. And STILL NOT using the secondary lane!!! Hire some kids, give them manageable shifts and bear the brunt until your ROI gives you profits again. Take a business class online while you're at it...

I want to here multiple times before and I have never been treated in a manner when I visited today 4/26/2020. They answer the phone and refused to take call in orders.I tried to call in an order so I could be in Lane 2 and the female employee that was answering the phones got an attitude and it was huge and she raised her voice at mewhich the manager at the time apparently failed to hear at the way she talks to people on the phone and that she raises her voice above a reasonable manner on the phone,"well if you're in the Drive-Thru Lane all you have to do is go in there an order on the speaker"(this is not how an employee should talk to a customer ordering them around like they're the boss of a customer, also an employee should not dictate how a customer puts in their order. That is not the place of an employee). So I decided to hang up and cool off. Waited Then 4 minutes, I and decided to recall so I can avoid an exorbitant amount of wait time and free up the drive-thru Lane for food orders so they can get more business then and actually take care of their customers and avoid cars waiting in the street which is why I call in my order. I did not expect half of that attitude I got over the phone then trying to express my concern to the manager that was working there he failed to acknowledge my concern he also failed to address the females employees attitude.I told him remark that was quite appropriate if she has an attitude she doesn't need to be on the phone talking to customers she doesn't need to be there either give her time off or fire her. I didn't find anything wrong with that remark considering that I had to wait over 30 minutes for one item that they did not even have to cook.I was even more shocked when the manager hung up on me and could not handle me talking to him like his female employee talk to me and because he failed to listen to a customer I did raise my tone and I did not yell at him. More importantly the merchant request that some orders be called in. To avoid excessive wait in the Drive-Thru. I was treated with heavy discrimination with a raised tone and treated in a manner that I should not have been treated in like I was some crazy woman that lost her temper. They refused to let the general manager know about the situation which is really poor on a manager's behalf. They also refused to provide the corporate office number.I will not be giving any of my business at all because they do not know how to treat their customers with respect and dignity and if you receive attitude from an employee there is nothing done.the manager saying sorry but not giving me the name of the employee that was taking orders over the phone I found that quite offencive and an insult upon injury. It was utterly ridiculous compared to the other times I've been there and it's never been a problem.I will be getting the corporate office number and I will be submitting a complaint through the BBB. I would strongly recommend to avoid this restaurant at all costs if you can.as their employees are not wearing medical gloves they're wearing cheap flimsy gloves that are not going to protect you from any viruses whatsoever whatsoevernone of their employees are wearing masks when bring stuff out to the car. There are just concerned everywhere. None of them are following the employee handbook as none of them are wearing their name tags because they failed to take any responsibility upon themselves for any of their actions on the job which is a really scary thought nowadays.I cannot believe the way that I was treated over one order versus the multiple times previously that I have given them business. If you stand for customers being poorly and without respect give them all the money you want. I will be waiting for a response from the general manager to comment on my long lengthy review because I hope he reads it cuz I'm calling the corporate office Monday I'll be hearing from him after that.because it took me sometime but I got the corporate office number and I'll be giving them a...

The food itself was never my problem...Until I worked there! Their managers shouldn't even be in their position due to their lazy incompetency or should I say completely condoning their High School employees of their blatant disrespect and all of them being a part of workplace bullying. I ain't just saying this as a former customer obviously. Yes! You are hearing it from someone who worked there for only three days before flipping her lid after one high school employee threatened to harm me with the little miss manager "Delores" standing there literally laughing while looking at me with annoyance. I have high functioning Autism (which is a disability) and they already knew that before I officially got on board. I was bullied by these people who work at this location. Heck now if I want to go eat there...HA! Screw that! I would prefer to pay extra for delivery service from a local delivery company than further allow them to see my happy go lucky face around there again. Heck, I really wish I can put no stars. Oh and I am in the middle of having a little former complaint be made against them for such workplace bullying on a disabled citizen! As for anything else, they are NOT trained to abide by any of the OSHA regulations which I will also be making a complaint to OSHA as well. I mean who wants some stranger handling peoples food WITHOUT gloves? I know I don't! When I requested them, Delores took the gloves and literally put them away in her office which I was not allowed in. Not making this up and I am not kidding! Oh and I can't never forget the time she didnt want to hear my concern about lifting and carrying a 40 plus lb pot filled with boiling hot water without me having slip resistant shoes and then almost slipping thanks to those freaking brats they have purposely knocking down smashed potatoes as they were passing by laughing and cursing out (Hahaha wow what a f*ing retard...Ooo she's gonna fall! That's gonna be so funny if that happens!) I am probably on Youtube somewhere because after enduring such horrific events, I did have what they call a little "Aspegers" (Autism) meltdown and just lost it. That's okay because what I did was justified. You can call me crazy on this and state that I sound overly dramatic about it but I KNOW that this all happened to me! A negative zero...

I gave Chicken Express one last chance. They disappointed me again and for the last time. The chicken has no seasoning. No salt or pepper, nothing. That is just basic cooking 101. Once food is cooked without seasoning you can't really add anything to make it taste good. I went at 6:27 p m and ordered the 12 piece mixed, just the chicken with no sides through the drive through. I should have looked at the food before driving away but I didn't. I live 30 miles away and when I arrived home and opened the box I realized the chicken looked old and overcooked. My family and I tried to eat it but it was too hard and actually cracked when biting into it. We ended up throwing it away. I used to love Chicken Express but in the last few years it has changed and not for the better. The service has also declined throughout this timeframe. When complaining about the food I get attitude and no acknowledgement of crappy food and service. I looked at the receipt and was going to call to get a refund but I saw at the bottom of the receipt the following statement. "We are proud of the products we offer. Any issues with our products require a receipt and the product returned in order for us to resolve the issue." I had already thrown the food away and I could have taken it from the trash and took it back to the restaurant but was actually fearful of them trying to sell it to someone else. I wasn't going to drive back to Lubbock and just looked at my charge of $33.43 as a lesson finally learned and a goodbye to Chicken Express for good. The location went to is located at 210 Slide Road but I have gone to the other one off University avenue and 82nd street and the one off 82nd and Milwaukee just to compare and it all sucks. Goodbye Chicken Express, I will miss your jalapeno poppers...
