Redbud True Value — Local services in Lubbock

I was visiting a family member in Lubbock when I noticed that the nut and bolt had fallen out of the cover latch on the truck I was driving for the trip.

I came into the store and the associate at the front immediately welcomed me and asked if he could help me find anything. I briefly explained the problem and showed him the hardware that I still had. He took me over to the hardware/fasteners area, helped me to identify the exact size and threading for the pieces I had and picked out a replacement bolt that he thought would work. He asked if I had my truck with me and, since I did, he gave me the piece to go out to the parking lot to make sure it would work for what I needed.

The part was basically a perfect replacement. I came back in and told him the good news. After checking my wallet to see I didn't have any cash, and knowing that using a card for a 35-cent piece of hardware would possibly cost the business more than the profit they'd make on that part, I went and grabbed another item that I needed back home in Fort Worth.

This is such an awesome neighborhood store. I live just down the street and to be a store a fraction the size of the big box stores, this true value is more dependable than those big stores. Some of their stuff is a little more expensive but some of their pricing will beat the big box stores. Their generac generators are the best price I’ve found in town and more like online price. The people that work there are absolutely the best. I took my new puppy in there and she peed in the isle and they were so nice about it. They wouldn’t let me clean it up and said “that kinda stuff happens when we’re a pet friendly store” and that he’d clean it up. Jimmy was great to me! I had called everywhere else that should carry a bed frame clamp and no one would help me. When I called this store, Jimmy picked up and offered me so much help and recommendations. I took pictures of the bed frame I needed to secure together and got measurements for him and we were able to get the right bolt, washer and nut for it. Very very VERY fair prices!
