Such a frustrating experience the Sonic on south Slide in Lubbock! The girl who took our order was struggling. Ex: I would say extra pickles and she would enter no pickles. I would say tots and fries were on the screen...This was with every item on the order. She gave me the final total but when I went to swipe my card, the total suddenly dropped by over $10. No one responded to the button so I figured I'd see what we get when the food comes out so as not to cause further confusion at this point. Food comes out and there's one whole combo that's missing. Easy fix, or so I thought. Instead of just making and charging us for the that one combo..they make it, say they are refunding the original charge and charging us a new total...that's less than the original charge...so now, $16 less than what we were originally told. She is also extremely rude and will not give us the food till we pay for the new total..even though we've already paid more than what she is currently telling us is the total...??..longer story short, after speaking with the manager, who couldn't explain why the totals kept going down, who was not all concerned with the order being wrong, and who was overly concerned about making sure that one drink was the right size (it was correct) here we sit with cold food that's not how we ordered it and me hoping that I don't have a bunch of bogus charges on my account because someone wasn't taught to use a register correctly. I tried reaching out to someone above the manager just make sure they know whats happening at thier store, and try to make sense of charges situation, but with no luck. So here's to hoping someone will reach...

I spoke with a manger who could not resolve the issue. He passed me off ti another manager and her solution was to have us come back to get the missing items. If she could give the a ticket if done sort to get the missing items next visit.
The only option was for us to go back down after coming home to eat , find items missing and get those missing items so the others could eat .
So I went to pick up those items. Slckucjed the little red button and asked for the Manager by name. The young lady that answered said there was no one there but that nameā¦ā¦. So I asked for the lady manager. When she came I asked her name and it was the exact name I requested. Extremely frustrating and irritating to be lied to. So go continueā¦.. Clearly if my guests are from out of state the āticketā was useless since there was no Sonic near them.
This is not the first time to happen at the south Slide Sonic. Maybe itās time consider another...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my absolute favorite Sonic drive in for Monday-Friday. I donāt know what happens on the weekends there, but more often than not, they do not give me what I ordered. I go daily to get 2 cherry limeade slushes with extra cherry. Monday-Friday there is never a single problem and the drinks are made phenomenally. Saturday and Sunday come and I have to drive across town to a different Sonic because the employees there donāt seem to be able to tell the difference between the watermelon and the cherry flavors. Sadly, Iāve always HATED watermelon and anything watermelon flavored. It literally makes me sick. But Monday through Friday I would highly recommend this location. Saturday and Sunday I would advise everyone to stay away especially if youāre ordering any drink with cherry...
