Read moreWe moved here from south Texas and couldn’t believe how expensive Taco Villa was for fake tortillas/fast food Mexican. We grew up in the area and used to love it but it’s way too expensive for what you get now. My main issue is with their food never being hot enough at this location. Every time we get home, we have to warm it up and we live very close. Before Taco Casa was built, we’d drive all the way to the Slide and 98th location if we wanted Taco Villa so we would get to have hot bean burritos that would stay warm the whole ride home. Not sure why that happens here but it’s been consistent for a couple of years...the cheese wouldn’t even be melted in the bean burritos. The days we would end up deciding to try it again (since we live so close to it) our food wouldn’t be warm enough and they would forget an item. :-/ Their beans aren’t as good as other locations. They’re like paste. I want to like it again and go here but not until it’s at least as good as the other Taco Villas. The chain as a whole needs to realize they don’t sell expensive food and we know that. Charge us a reasonable price for the cheapest food to make around and offer good deals and not just on certain days. That’s the main reason Taco Casa has won our patronage. It’s cheap food at cheap prices like...
Read moreI really love Taco Villa, but I ended up with pretty severe food poisoning from this location. We ordered food on 4/8/2021 around 5pm. I had tacos, the rest of my family had bean burritos. I'm not sure if it was the ground beef, or maybe the lettuce or tomato? I began to feel slightly sick to my stomach by 9:30pm, and by the next day at noon I was laid out completely sick. I was sick with vomiting, cramping, and other awful symptoms for 3 days. I called the store to report to them that I had been made sick, and what sounded like a deeper voiced said "yeah okay, well our food is clean so you didn't get it here," and laughed. I asked if a manager was available and she said no. I asked when I manager would be in and they said "they won't." It was very unprofessional, and frustrating considering just how ill I had been. So much for trying to warn this store, it was clear by the phone call that the staff at this location doesn't care. I still love Taco VillaI will NOT visit this...
