Totally Tea — Restaurant in Lubbock

I went to totally tea this afternoon and was not happy with my experience. From the prices that are displayed at this establishment, I was expecting to pay approximately $6.75- $7.50 but ended up paying $9.66 for one drink. Their displays/advertising states that one brown sugar milk tea ( the drink I ordered ), costs $5.99, with the Tapioca Boba topping costing $.75 extra. On my receipt, instead of the $5.99, I was charged $7.49 for the milk tea and was charged not $.75 but an additional $1.50 for the tapioca Boba topping. The tax came out to $.67. Also, my receipt is only half of a receipt due to the employee at the register stating that the printer was messed up and only printing half the receipt. When the concern of the price difference was brought up to the employees, they simply stated that the added cost was the tax and just how it comes up when entered on the register.. I left it at that. I understand that inflation has caused prices to go up, but I definitely will be considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as I believe these employees could possibly be up charging the customers and pocketing the extra money as tips. If the pricing on the drinks is truly higher, then this is currently false advertising, and it needs to be corrected so people are aware and can be in expectation of what they will be charged.

In hopes that the owner of this establishment reads these reviews I would also like to mention the three female employees that were working today around 6 o’clock all left the business unattended for approximately 9 minutes while customers continuously came up to order tea with no one there to wait on them. I noticed that they have two cameras at the Totally Tea so whoever the owner is can check those and see that they all left around 6:05 p.m and did not return until right about 6:14. We ordered some delicious teas from here around 5:30 on 9/23. When we approached the counter, we were warmly welcomed and all of our questions were answered. We got the signature and mango teas. I'll tell you what, this was the worst smoothie of my life. Literally crushed ice and barely a milky flavor of strawberry mango. Every sip is basically ice crushed and zero flavor and ice clogged the straw. I'm going to attach a picture and you see the large chunks of ice.
