Atmosphere..there isn't any. No one eats in. Service is pretty good...they take your money and hand you food. Food. This place is so different from what it used to be. The original owners from East Street are long gone and the current people. Well, they need to learn what they are supposed to be serving. New Years eve ordered 2 house platters, crab rangoons, chicken chow mein boneless spare ribs at 11:15 am for a 5 PM pick up. Got there and there was no food. They had an order slip that was computer generated and the 5PM was changed in blue pen to 5:30pm. So had to go back. Wasn't worth the argue. Pull the food out of the bag. Now have burnt boneless spare ribs that were more like shreds than ribs. Rubbery and soaked in grease. Pork fried rice that was dried out and crispy. Chicken fingers that some were obviously old (old meaning they had a different color and texture) and some that were fresh. Chicken wings the same. Some old some fresh. Chow mein that looked like partially drained soup. For $86.00 and ordering early enough...I'm tired of old and fresh food. (This has been going on for at least a year) Having to go back. I've been going to Chin's for 30-40 years. Was friends with the original owners. Used to go a couple times a month. Now it's a couple times a year and complaining about the quality. I'm done. Will go over to the orchard. It's better but...
Read moreI have been going to Chin's Kitchen for over 30 years. When I lived in Ludlow, I went there. When I lived in Chicopee, I went there. And now when in Springfield, they remain my go-to, and always will. Though they've changed owners the food is exactly the same amazing food it has always been. Their customer service is amazing. Online, I accidentally ordered bbq spare ribs instead of boneless & I called and no problem. They fixed my error and have always been so kind. Their wonton soup is the best you'll ever have. No one can beat their Gen Tsos. Their Kung Pao chicken is to die for. Their chicken fingers and boneless ribs are the best. So few things are as good as I remember them from childhood, but Chins Kitchen is one of those few places where the flavor and quality of food has remained amazing. When I'm having a bad day or a stressed day, they are my security blanket. It is so reassuring to know I can order from them and have amazing food & great service. I can't say enough good things about them. I was so happy when they started delivering to Springfield. Also, it's worth mentioning their prices are fantastic. It's so difficult to find a place with amazing food, great prices and friendly customer service, but Chins is one of...
Read moreDo not eat the food at this restaurant unless you want to get sick. Recently, my husband I ate it again after our first bad experience, and both got terrible stomach pains and explosive diarrhea. The first time my family ordered here, I asked for it to go, and in the brown paper bag they used to pack our food there was a cockroach hiding in the bottom folds which ran out when we sat it down on our kitchen table. The food was poor quality and very old. The meat tasted old. I told my husband that we would never go back. However, recently he bought food there on his way home without asking me. I knew I shouldn't eat it, but I was hungry and didn't feel like cooking. The food was terrible! The Teriyaki beef, BBQ Spare ribs and chicken meat is OLD, dry, and tasted and smelled like old meat. All the food is frozen food, nothing fresh. In the General Tso's Chicken, the chicken was tiny, dry, old pieces covered in old breading with a sickly sweet artificial sauce, and the broccoli was tasteless, discolored, and not fresh, obviously frozen. Ban this food, never go here. BAD FOOD. WILL MAKE YOU SICK! BELIEVE ME! There are other...
