SAKURA — Restaurant in Ludlow

we've eaten here several times now, and always been very happy with it! we havent tried any of the hibachi or more Chinese food style offerings, we tend to stick to ramen, poke bowls, and sushi. in my opinion their standout offering are the super fresh delicious poke bowls, and its the only place in the area we've really seen them. their ramen is also really delicious and their sushi is very solid, but we felt like the more complicated ones were a little too busy to really taste everything that was on it, so we stick to the more simple ones. thats not really on sakura though, thats kinda how i feel most really over the top sushi ends up. all in all really good food at a reasonable price, Sakura has definitely become a staple restaurant for us!

the only thing we wouldnt get again would be their bubble tea, its not terrible or anything but we felt like it was on the bland side and bubble tea is always pricey, so id rather not buy one unless its going to be great. there arent really other places near by to get bubble tea, so if youre absolutely craving one itll probably scratch the itch, but we have mixes and tea at home (because we are a little addicted haha) and can make a better tasting one...

I ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls for takeout and I usually love this place as it has the best flavors and I used to recommend it to everyone around this area HOWEVER I am MORTIFIED to have seen a WORM on my sushi which I removed and set to the side as pictured because I was wondering what the hell was on it. I did some googling and it’s an anisakiasis worm/ parasite/ nematode. This place does NOT use sushi grade fish and or does not freeze their fish to ensure parasite prevention. I feel sick to my stomach as I had 2 bites of sushi already and now I’m wondering if one of these things are inside me. I have a video of it moving too. This is UNACCEPTABLE and now I have to go to the doctor for prevention. I don’t mean to be harsh as I know this is a small business but this is just insanely gross and could’ve been prevented. Long story short, my entire order is now in the trash and I will never go back. That explains the reason people have gotten sick from...

So disappointed. This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner. When I walked in to get my food, it had a very strong foul fishy odor. We ordered the hibachi steak, steamed shumai, chicken pad Thai, and avocado salad. We placed the order online. I ordered noodles with my hibachi steak and they sent rice instead and I was really looking forward to the noodles. The chicken pad Thai was absolutely disgusting and tasted nothing like chicken pad Thai. The avocado salad looked and tasted like mushy coleslaw and was inedible as well. It looked nothing like the picture. The food was very expensive and most of it went in the trash. We will never go there again. I’d give it less than one star but I can’t.
