This location is on our usual stop to and from Boston to Florida every summer. It is tourist friendly, modern, clean and quick (no matter the crowds or time of day). The staff is personable for the most part and always seen cleaning. The bathrooms are not that bad either, especially for a very busy McDonalds. The food always comes out piping hot and fast. I've never had an incorrect order here. Only true issue is at times it can have a funky smell around the dining area. But it is a pretty modern looking and spacious location with plenty of parking. There is no outdoor seating though but a gas station directly next door for convenience. Only once which was about a week ago have we ever had an odd experience, which I added a picture. While eating inside with our family around 3pm or so, a car with 2 young guys pulled into the handicap space. They clearly were not handicapped. Not even a moment later the police came to stop them. They were put in handcuffs and many other cops came. There were MANY automatic weapons of all sizes found in the vehicle yet the cops ended up letting them go and as soon as they did the 2 guys came inside to order. Meanwhile that was going on 3 of the McDonalds staff members came to see what was going on but because it was occurring directly in front of our booth we were sitting in, the staff felt the need to stand/lean on our table while we were eating. They also sat in the booth behind us to look and one woman even leaned in with her knee on our bench seat where my 2 young children were sitting. They didnt see that as personal space or strange. I ended up getting out my seat and just saying excuse me, to go sit next to my kids so that wouldn't happen again. The women went on to record the incident as if they were giddy school girls. Just that experience as a whole was nerve racking and uncomfortable. Otherwise we typically enjoy...

We were on our way home to Virginia Beach. After we got off of I-20 and onto I-95 in Florence, SC, my niece said she was hungry for lunch and wanted McDonald's again. This seems to be her favorite food place. After looking at reviews of McDonald's along our route, I found this one to be one of the higher rated locations, so we held out until we got here (around 1:30 pm).
Getting to the place was quite easy from the interstate. When we got there, it wasn't overly busy, likely due to the time we came in. Since there was no wait, we were immediately greeted by three different team members. We all needed a minute to make a decision. For this visit, I ended up with the Double Quarter Pounder meal since I really wouldn't be having much else until we got much closer to home (about 5 hours later). There was one mistake with it, as the meat was all over, not on the bun as it should be. I went back up and showed one of the workers and they took it back to the manager. Next thing I know the manager comes back up and apologizes and will replace the item. About 5-10 minutes later, the replacement came out and was exactly the way it should be. There were many apologies for this, which is hard to find anywhere you go these days.
Overall, this was one of the better McDonald's locations I have been to. They definitely passed in how they handled the issue I had with professionalism. If my travels take me this way, I would definitely come back here again. If you are in the area and looking for a McDonald's, skip the others in the area and just come...
Read moreIf I could put negative stars I would. My family spent almost $40 on dinner and ordered online so it could just be picked up without waiting. My fiancée gets there and is told they can’t start cooking the food until you arrive. Then it takes another 35 minutes for 1 burger, an order of strips, a 20 piece nugget a hamburger happy meal and 2 large fries. We live 5 minutes from the place and came straight home. My sons hamburger in his happy meal was literally so cold the meat patty felt like it had just been sittin on the side somewhere, I ordered the strips and so help me god the chicken strips I got was SO overcooked I had to peel the outside breading off and then even just the chicken was like chewing on a piece of leather. Seriously. The fries weren’t even slightly warm and my husband didn’t even get the drink he had ordered. I’ve worked in restaurants my entire career and if I let my stores run the way this place does and sent out food like we received tonight.. my district manager would have my butt. DO BETTER OR FIND ANOTHER JOB. There’s no excuse for that mess, especially when they wasn’t even busy. Pure laziness. I would be ashamed to be the manager...
