Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Lynchburg

I ordered from Applebees online for delivery. The driver who delivered my food was rude to my neighbor and me. He refused to deliver it to my door, even though my neighbor told him exactly where I was, like 5 seconds away walking distance. Instead, he made me come out to get the food, saying he couldn't find my location. He was about to leave with my food. I called the Applebees and they said they were not responsible for any refund because the driver they used was outsourced to DoorDash, which is a separate company. Even though I ordered from Applebees website directly. Later, I checked my bank account and they did indeed refund me for the partial amount minus the driver's fee. However, that same day, they removed the same amount of money from my account without my express permission. I called Applebees again and talked to a different manager and they said they would refund me if they could find the transaction. After 30 minutes on the phone and having repeated the transaction amount and dates, they still couldn't find my transaction and therefore couldn't refund me. I called my bank and disputed the transaction, blocked them from charging my account ever again, and will never order from...

They seated us quickly which was great for a Saturday night and with 8 people in our group.

I got the four cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders. Sadly, they either changed the recipe to make it flavorless or this Applebee's was out of ingredients to make it properly. It honestly tasted like cream and noodles, with no cheese or other flavor at all. The chicken was good but even that seemed to not have that much flavor. I don't know if they were out of ingredients but I wish they were honest so I could have picked something else! It was very disappointing considering the cost of the dish.

The children's portions were a very good size! If we had toddlers they could have probably split one kid's meal between them, which makes this place a good deal for parents. They also give a page and crayons for them to color while you wait, which we really like.

I gave 4 stars because they seated us quickly, the server was nice, and the music WASN'T blaring. We've been to another Applebee's where we can hardly talk because all we can hear is the music, so that was a definite plus...

I ordered online for grab-n-go. I asked for as soon as possible, for when to pick up. Well, I got lost, (from out of town), took me much longer to get there than I thought. I honestly expected for the food to be cold. Nope, wasn't even ready yet. I waited an extra 20 minutes for the bags to come out. The girl told me there were plates & silverware in the bags, I said thank you, then asked for my drinks. She didn't know about them, so I told her what they were, (raspberry tea, no ice), and she said she'd be right back. She came back 25 minutes later & the drinks had ice. I got back to my uncle's hospital room & unpacked the food to discover that not only was the food cold, but there were no plates or silverware. My uncle had to pick up his steak to eat it. My chicken was cold, overcooked & had no flavor. Oh, and he drank the ice cream that came with the brownie bite. (Mine was spilled all over the container.
