I have not dined in, only ordered out.

The first time they were willing to bring the order to me in my car, which I thought was accommodating. The second order, my husband picked up. I've tried 2 of their College Burgers--the Liberty and the Sweetbriar which is a blue-cheese BBQ burger and a veggie burger. I found both to be satisfactory. I was happy with the regular salad both times because it's not just cheap Iceberg and a few carrots--it's a well-rounded salad.

I was disappointed that the sweet potato fries were not shaped like fries because my son will not eat them that way, but that's a problem unique to me and they were good--I ate them. The frickles also had flavor. The mac and cheese was a little thick, but flavorful.

We will go back to try other burgers and selections. I find the variety to be good without being over-the-top/overwhelming and for the price, I feel it's good value.

UPDATE:

Since my pickup orders I have eaten there for lunch with a friend. They are busy with take-out orders and although the place was empty, it took a while for the waitress to get to the table. Please note that this doesn't at all bother me, I don't mind waiting and don't find it unusual during the current pandemic climate.

We ordered the pretzel appetizer, a salad and fries, a burger and sandwich, which totaled $40. I thought that was a good price and find their appetizers to be very low priced for the amount and quality. They were out of the first two appetizers we asked for, but again, not unusual for the times we're living in.

I ordered the Randolph chicken sandwich. It was enough for me to eat half for lunch then the other half for dinner and I think the fries are particularly good (so did my son).

We'll return for take-out and...

When this place first opened, my husband and I were in weekly. The wait staff was super friendly and the food was excellent. We particularly loved the smash burgers. We hadn’t been back for 3-4 months, but went in last night and it felt like a different restaurant. The wait staff was still friendly, but the service was slow, the atmosphere felt sort of weird, and the food wasn’t very good. My husband and I both ordered the same food we used to, and the fries and sauce both seemed different and the burgers were gross. It didn’t seem to either of us that they were smash burgers at all - they tasted like frozen patties they’d just thrown on the grill. The texture and unique flavor of smash burgers were just not there. We asked the waitress about what might have changed and she said that they had gotten a new chef recently. But like … a smash burger is a smash burger? I also saw a woman at the bar pull out (and use) a vape twice… which is illegal to do indoors, no matter how sly you think you’re being. It was disheartening, too, that the woman using the vape was sitting right next to the owner (or, who used to be?). We won’t be back. Unfortunately I think Oliver’s is the next restaurant to eventually die...

Server couldn't answer questions about restaurant or menu, didn't know what was out of stock, and was genuinely unwilling to ask after the status of our order. We ate entrees, paid, and left, before the appetizer we ordered was prepared. The food they had available was average, not worth the upcharge. It's not an upscale establishment.

I've returned to Oliver's!! And again, been disappointed. They were, yet again, out of stock of the menu items I wished to order. (Chicken sandwich, apparently they had no chicken.) At least this time, they informed me that it was out of stock when I tried to order it, instead of making me wait an hour and a half and THEN telling me it wasn't coming. However, just a tip: Ideally, you mark items off the menu when they're not available for purchase.

The food took 45 minutes to arrive. When it finally came out, it was fine. Nothing special, not worth the price. Burgers lack salt.

Edit: This listing includes all the reviews for the Bierhaus, which used to be at this location. The 4-star rating doesn't seem to be an accurate reflection of Oliver's; most of the reviews since the change in ownership mention poor service and...

We’ve been here several times usually between 1 and 3 pm, after playing some golf. We love the food here. Burgers are very tasty and this time we tried the Fish and Chips and it was excellent. The fries also are great. Homemade, not the skinny batter kind, these are nice and fat slices from real potatoes. Our server told us that the Brussels sprouts side is very good also and so my hubby had to try it. It was over the top delicious. I’m not a fan of Brussel sprouts but this was amazing, light and crispy with some kind of beautiful seasoning sauce on it. He laughed because I ate more of that than my Fish and Chips. They have all kinds of draft beer and your regular wines, bar appears to have plenty of hard liquor also. The atmosphere is very charming inside and we usually like to eat in the bar side room so we can watch golf or football on one of their many TV’s. Love that this is a locally owned restaurant and you can do some light shopping right next door. Check Oliver’s out. Say hello to Cam the manager and order the Fish and Chips and a side of Brussel sprouts it’s the bomb!

I was lured in by the goldens and stayed for the food. Did not disappoint! This place is amazing!! My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. We started with the mozzarella logs — delicious. My husband got a NY sour and I got the pomegranate martini, both very good. We ordered two burgers, I got the brisket burger and my husband got the bacon jam; both were very juicy and made with high quality beef. We finished off the night with the cheesecake! Service did NOT suffer even though they were short staffed. Our water cups were always filled and everyone was very pleasant. The only things that could improve- my burger was supposed to have coleslaw and did not this time (I stole some of my husband’s so I didn’t miss out). No points deducted though (short staffed and two days before Christmas). Also, the restaurant side was a little chilly. Overall, we are sold! Thank you for a great night everyone.
