The staff is pretty fantastic. Quick, kind, understanding, active, present. So polite and gracious.

The interior is revamped from the “Doc’s Diner” LU used to host in the building. Looks more open and modern now!

The food is alright. Pretty fast presentation—not beautiful, but not hideous. Spice for the grilled chicken is fairly good! Really enjoyed the layers—it’s not just a piece of meat with salt.

Don’t get the “side salad” if you’re wanting a healthy side. It comes with cheese and croutons and tastes odd—like it’s pre-packaged and a bit old or something. Go for potato salad or fries. The mango habanero dipping sauce has a decent kick and little articulated “mango”. It just tastes like a sweet hot sauce with the consistency of Thai chili, but not the same softness of taste.

The toast is Texas toast; it’s not soaking in oil or butter, so that’s good.

Takeout is inferior to dine-in. I’ve tried both now. Takeout is soggy, and it just sits in a cardboard box. The freshness makes a difference with this...

Biggest letdown ever!! Maybe I was just too excited. My dad and I took a day trip, and we decided we would Istop for dinner on our way home. First, the drive just to get to the restaurant is ridiculous. Second, it is definitely a college hangout since it's next to liberty university. Third, the food my 3 tiny chicken strips were ok at best, cooked to just above salmonella poisoning, and the potato salad lacked something, maybe onion. Now, my dad's food, the first take, he ordered 8 dry (meaning no sauce) hot sauce on the side so he could add to his liking, to say he ordered them dry was an understatement they were so dry they were petrified, so I brought them back up asked that they make some fresh ones, Second take worse, so small, no thank you he is going to break his teeth. They refunded the entire meal, I didn't ask for that,...

In my 32 years of life, I can say that Slim Chickens serves the best Chicken Tenders I've ever had! The value and portions are great but the freshness and quality of the Chicken Tenders was what stole the show! In my book they are #1 in Chicken Tenders in Lynchburg and the Commonwealth of Virginia! To add the fries we're well cooked and seasoned to perfection and the toast paired well with the meal! This was my first time eating here and I wasn't aware they had a to-go station next door and a dine in area but thanks to the Shift Manager (didn't get her name, helped me tremendously by letting know about that and helped me out greatly and I thank her for her kindness and hospitality! Folks, if you live Chicken Tenders then this is the place for you! 100% worth the time and the money! The only regret I have is that I didn't try this...
