Appetizzio's Italian deli — Restaurant in Lyndhurst

Appetizio's is my source for all things Italian. Fresh mozzarella, all kinds of ravioli, provolone, sundried tomatoes, Italian bread, Genoa salami and soppressata are my almostly weekly purchases. But Johnny and Franky provide friendly service along with specialties that Johnny creates. Chicken cutlets, sausage and peppers, red, green, black and stuffed olives are great. But my favorite purchase is when Johnny makes rice balls. OMG, he is so inventive. They are magical. They have authentic imported foods like pasta, roasted peppers, caponata, breadsticks and cookies too. But you can just go there for their sandwiches which are stuffed and made with care. The customer service couldn’t be any better. They bend over backwards to serve you and with pleasure. Generosity and enthusiasm is always on display here and the food is top-notch, including the bread they source from Hoboken (smart move!).
