Chico's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Lynwood

I was completely unsatisfied with the service, professionalism, and cleanliness of this place. First, as soon as i walked in, there was this pungent smell. I headed to the counter to order and I saw this cook eating while handling other people's meal. I just felt like drinking a beer and playing pool, so i headed to the game room and this most disgusting and most disturbing smell was all around the pool table area and restrooms. This was disgusting!! It was a type of smell that stays in ur nose for some while even after you leave the area.. I got my order and took a look at the uniform of each employee and the way they communicate with the customers and i was shocked to see them messy, not neat at all, unorganized and Not working in a clean area where they handle food and drinks. I asked for some diaposable plates for my pizza to the same cook that i had seen eating while cooking and he said he couldn't hand me the plates because he had gloves on and he sent someone else to do it. So, clearly it was ok to eat while you cook someone else's meal but its unsanitary to grab a plate for a customer. My kids were playing in the machines, so i just ordered a draft beer... they can't even properly pour a beer!!! The beer was awful clearly they don't properly clean the area either! My daughter got some candy from the claw machine and guess what? The candy was old and hard (what a surprise, right?) I have worked in restaurants and had never, never seen something like this. Clearly, this "food place" needs to be carefully and strictly managed. The employees must communicate and help customers in a proffesional way. And it also needs a miracle to have a clean and...

I chose to get a pizza to-go on the recommendation of a customer of mine. He said that this place had the best pizza ever. I arrived at the end of the night, you could tell that they were getting ready to clean up from an earlier rush. The pizza was made quickly, although I was one of few people there at the moment, and the service was friendly. I cannot claim that this was the best pizza I have ever had. I'm sorry, just being honest; however, it was the best thin-crust pizza that I've ever had. The dough was wasn't so crispy that it shattered but stiff enough to hold its shape. It didn't taste like flour or a saltine cracker either. It was perfect. The sauce was full of flavor and there was plenty of cheese. They didn't skimp on toppings either. So the food was a total 5 stars for me. The atmosphere seemed nice too. A few tv's up to watch a game, video games for the kids, pool tables for the billiard junkies and a good selection of drinks for those interested in taking the edge off of the evening. Unfortunately that’s all it’s left just the memories everything is gone As an adult I kept going back at least for the pizza and now for the beer But now the beer is gone and the pizza isn’t as I remember it the wait time has always been long and I wouldn’t mind as a kid I had games and as an adult I had beer. This last time I got no games and no beer my order was apparently made in two parts first pizza was almost cold and the second was hot but it seems like they are using different ingredients the cheese doesn’t taste or stretches like I remember actually it doesn’t stretch at all I don’t know if I’m ever going back 46 years of my life and now it’s just memories.
