I wanted to like this place, I really did. First the place is huge and seats a ton of people. We were seated right away then the server brought water to our table and said she'd be right back to take our order. About 14 minutes later she said if we were ready she'd take our order. We ordered, she repeated it and left. About 15 minutes later she brought our drinks. Mind you iy was a party of 2. Drinks consisted of an orange juice and a decaf coffee. The coffee is served in a thermal pitcher. She poured my 1st cup. I added 2 cream (which were chilled) and a splenda. The coffee was cold. The type of cold which made me think it had been sitting there off to the side for hours. Then about 25 minutes after the drinks our food arrived. She dropped the plates on the table so fast I couldn't even tell her that this was NOT what I ordered. She came back with our pancakes and I was finally able to tell her that my order was wrong. She said I'm so sorry and quickly came back with my correct order. I was so disappointed! I ordered a skillet. Which any where around here is usually served in (hence the title) skillet! This was on a regular square plate. Idk if it was because of the mix up or if that's actually how they prepare it, but it was definitely microwaved. The whole thing seemed to consist of frozen diced potatoes, frozen veggies and cheese thrown in the microwave to melt the cheese with two almost over hard eggs (I asked for over easy) placed on top. The pancakes which I was so excited for where just OK. Kind of a really thick cake consistency and slightly under cooked in the middle, also they where brown almost black. But surprisingly no burnt taste. When she finally came back and asked how everything was I mentioned the cold coffee and almost when we were ready to leave was when the coffee finally made it to the table. Let me also mention there were about 12 tables with only 2 servers. There was a guy who seemed to be helping seat people, bus tables, sweep, and take payments. One guy! Idk if it was because it was a Monday afternoon or what but they definitely need much more staff. The place is too spaced out for 2 servers to be literally running all over the restroom to wait tables. I felt so bad for all 3 of them. Running back and forth. This place needs to do better. I tried again for my birthday. Kamila waited in me and my friends or should I say did the bare minimum. She messed up a n 4 out of the 7 orders to including messing up on someone who was allergic to mushrooms. My friends and I trying to be understanding didnāt say much however when the bill came we saw she was getting $34 worth of tips for a maybe $10 work she did. First off they put all of our tabs together and we asked if they could split it for us. Kamila told us no. We went to the cashier who was nice enough to split it for us. When he finished there were extra items that were not ordered and shouldnāt have been there. No who is apparently the owner came and made a ruckus trying to tell us what we order when he was no where insight. Kamila tried to say we order extra food and refills when we did not. I wasnāt sure why she was up there when she told us they couldnāt split the tabs in the first place. Kamila continue to say and said we had refills on strawberry lemonade when we order pink lemonade because it was free EVEN THOUGH she told us everything was free. She messed up on giving me an extra egg, she gave it to my friend but gave attitude when I asked about it, gave my friend mushrooms when she didnāt ask for it and said well you didnāt say that(rude regardless even though we all heard her ask for no mushrooms), told us there was free refills on the lemonades, we waited forever for our food and Iām not being dramatic, etc. I was very disappointed in Mo because he is the owner and he didnāt try to solve or problems at all. He made them worse with his yelling and arguing. The only person who tried to help us is Adele the cashier. I really appreciated him. This was my second time visiting and Iām very disappointed in this restaurant will not be returning due to the horrible service. First time visiting to this place. First of all I dont care for any place that includes a specific gratuity to your bill. Its not our job to provide a living wage to the employees. Thats the company's responsibility. Tips should be given based on the performance of the server.
That being said the food was great. I was a little skeptical regarding the quality of the food because there were items misspelled on the menu. Thats a red flag to me. A lack of attention to detail. Thankfully the food was delicious.
I ordered the lamb with mashed potatoes and gravy with broccoli. Everything was perfect. It looked great the broccoli was fresh and the mashed potatoes were tasty. And the lamb..oh the lamb was the best Ive ever tasted. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The meat was so tender and moist. I couldn't believe it. I bit into the meat with such ease. Very delightful. Everyone's food at the table looked amazing. I just forgot to take pictures of everything š
