I have been eating at moy goy for almost 30+ years. My family and I ordered from them when we first moved in to the neighborhood and the food was the best Chinese I have ever eaten in the Midwest area. Up until recently I haven't eaten it for a while because I moved. I ordered it today for my boyfriend and I and I was utterly disappointed. The egg foo young had almost no gravy in the box so it was very dry. The sweet and sour shrimp used to have a container that came with it that had pineapple tomato and green pepper in the sweet and sour sauce and this shrimp had just this little tiny box of red sauce and the shrimp was mostly breading which the breading wasn't fully cooked. The beef almond ding used to be made in a really good sauce with water chestnut, celery, bak choy, beef, and almond all in the dark sauce. What I had looked like grey beef with celery almond and carrots. Again, utterly disappointing. I used to love their egg rolls but the ones I ordered today were just so greasy it made it hard to stomach. The odd thing is some of the items I ordered had a description of what was in it on the menu but it didn't match for some of the items I ordered, for example, the beef almond ding did not say it came with carrots but it should have had water chestnuts and I don't think i saw any of those in my order. The only thing that was somewhat edible was the wonton soup and the rice. It's like they decided to change the way they made every entrée so it could be cheap for them, but they charge the highest prices I have ever seen since I have been going there for the 30+ years. I hate to say it but I think they have finally lost me as a loyal customer with all the changes to cut corners and cost which is evident and is also evident in the poor quality of their food now compared to what they are...
Read moreStay away from Moy Goy at all costs. When I arrived for my pick-up, the man at the counter told me that they had made a mistake with my order. Due to a bit of a language barrier, I wasn't able to understand what he was saying until I got home and realized they had given me the wrong dish and charged me for the higher-priced wrong dish. They knew they had done this before I picked up my order, yet didn't fix it. When I called to explain what had happened and asked him to fix it, he said that I couldn't return it and they couldn't help me, then hung up. When I called back, I got a message that the establishment had blocked my number. When I called back, he hung up on me again. Called back again, was hung up on. They gave a non-beef eater a beef dish and charged more than the cost of what I ordered. I will not return and urge others to keep...
