Called to asked where the list of five dollar footlongs is on their webpage. A rude man informed me that there is no such thing with subway. I explained that ads for five dollar footlongs have been all over the tv for weeks. He told me that was not true. I asked for his first name so I could file a complaint with his manager. He hung up on me. I called back and calmly asked for a manager. The same man informed me that his name was Bart and he is the manager. I asked why a manager would hang up on a customer and he said that I hung up on him. Disrespectful manager, refusing to participate in a sale, and telling a customer they are lying. Not a good business model. Of course I don't know much about business. I only managed restaurants for 20 years before becoming a pastor. The longer we as customers keep giving business to places like this they will continue to turn out poor workers and make bad customer service the norm. Start demanding good service or go to a restaurant that will provide it. These types of restaurants should not be able to stay open when smaller family businesses with good service are shutting down. An older Mexican woman working at the time spoke to me in a very disrespectful tone. She told me I needed to hurry up with my sandwich order because she had to close in half an hour.
I responded by saying that Iāve always appreciated this location because the owner truly cares about his customers and takes pride in his business ā which is why I choose to shop here. She replied dismissively, saying she didnāt care if I told the owner and pointed out that there are cameras he can check.
