Everything here was just mediocre at best. I expected more based on the reviews. It took awhile for the young man at the register to greet me as he was preoccupied with messing with a pen. Upon being seated it took awhile for the waiter to come take my order. I ordered the guacamole dip which lacked flavor and I ordered the Sante Fe fajitas which was mostly huge chunks of poblano peppers, pineapples and cheese. My portion literally contained 4 shrimp, a few bites of chicken and bacon and heavy heavy pineapple and cheese. The other components were virtually nonexistent. Maybe I came on a bad day but for this first experience I was not impressed. I didn't even take my leftovers to go.

We come up from Florida and camp south of Matter GA. But we found this restaurant a week after it opened. It's now our favorite go to place when we come up. The service is amazing, Sandra with the big smile, was our server tonight and she was a delight. Our food was "the bomb" fantastic as always! Quickly seated, served salsa & chips and followed up by our tea & diet coke. Within 10 minutes our food arrived cooked to perfection. Do not miss out on this authentic and reasonably priced treasure.

Food is always good. Tried something new. The Sopa de Polla, the only problem was too much salt. The Chulupa was not what I was expecting, if this is truly a Chulupa. We have recently found out that the waiter lied to us about it being a Chalupa. All he had to do was correct himself, ask what he could do to rectify it. He did not have to lie to us. My husband speaks fluent spanish and does not understand why we were lied to. He said as far as he's concerned we will never go back.

Prior arriving to this restaurant. I looked up on their online menu and saw a meal I wished to order. When I get there and told the young lady what I wanted, she immediately got an attitude, slammed the window and went and got a young man to come to the window to see what I wanted on the menu. They both came back with horrible attitudes and yelled at me to tell me they do not have whatever I looked up on their online menu, & stated I need to look up the menu on Facebook. I ended up ordering the polo con crema with onions. They both left, she came back and said I haven’t put your order in yet ( after I just had told her what I wanted) and for me to circle back around since their “busy” and the wait would be twenty minutes. I, instead called the restaurant to place my order (again). Whenever, 20 minutes went b; I got my food and the food was very cold and my onions were raw. I have never experienced such poor communication & customer service from an establishment like this Rio grande Lyons, GA. I complained and told her they were taking too long and she sarcastically stated “you know about the other rio grande” I do! I said. Never will I ever spend my money here again. Better off going to El...

I like Mexican food, am always looking for a new restaurant to try. Found this one a couple years ago while traveling to visit the grandkids. Extremely fortunate find! And conveniently located on my preferred route. On this most recent trip we were ready for supper long before we got to the city where Rio Grande is located but could not find a place open. When we got into town and found Rio Grande open, we both said, "Hallelujah!" A hurricane was supposedly on its way north, several hours away but the rain bands were reaching us. Not a problem. We were welcomed in, seated immediately, and treated like royalty. I'm sorry I forget our server's name, but he was one of the best waiters we've ever had. He earned a nice tip. The food was exactly what we wanted and ordered, and was hot and delicious. It isn't always meal time when we are passing through, but I always wish it was. We have eaten here several times and never had a complaint about food,...

Food was mediocre. Restroom and the restaurant were extremely clean. Our waiter was by far one of the rudest people I've ever came into contact with. There was a miscommunication and they brought my daughter a dish with onions. She did order it without however mistakes happen and we were not upset until the waiter wanted to continuously argue and be very rude. Luckily there was one female employee that took over and try to make our experience more enjoyable. Upon checkout was another argument with the cashier. I explained that we were driving through on my way to work and we didn't have time for this but both the cashier and the waiter had plenty of time to argue. Would definitely...
