Partin Park or Lyons Recreation Department — Attraction in Lyons

Well, to say the least, not really pleased with our visit. An area of the park was removed and truly was sadness amongst some children whom have played in the number 4 covered area since they were born. Was nicely fenced in and felt safe to allow my smallest grandchildren play. But, today was truly scary and the biggest disappointment of my visits ever. No restrooms available fir the kids to use had to walk across the biggest area of the parking lot to get to a restroom. I write this review in the hopes that something can be done about the skatepark, as even a car-priced remodel (or less) would work wonders for the ramps. At a glance it looks great and has the potential to be really great, but actually riding it is pretty terrible because the transitions are consistently too aggressive. Every ramp is too steep for its height and more importantly reaches a steeper angle too quickly. Many are basically unridable because of this, and a little extra concrete to make them mellower would fix this. Also the pool bowl needs an appropriate way to drain as it is always full of...

My absolute favorite park! I drive from Appling just so my kids can really enjoy a park. The ones we have are sad excuses. ONE playset with 2 slides IS NOT A PARK. We overly love Partin Park! There are soo many different play sets, merry go rounds, a zipline, a huge slide, soccer field football field baseball field, batting cages, volleyball court & more! Also a skate park! That's all I can remember off the top of my head...
