BnR Country — Restaurant in Mabank

We’ve dined here several times since they opened, but the last few have been disappointing. The service is very slow, taking over an hour to get our order on the last visit after waiting at least 20 minutes for the server to even notice us. Food is usually pretty good, but there is no concern with service. I get it, especially in a pandemic, but today was the last straw. We brought a guest & we’re a party of 3. Sat in the bar area as the only 2 tables available in the front were dirty/being slowly cleaned. Ordered our food & 2 orders came after about 25 minutes, which was expected as there were several large parties dining. My order still hadn’t come after nearly 20 more minutes & included an appetizer. My sister & friend were nearly done eating & the hard-working bartender/server came to check on us & find out what was taking so long. Turns out that our appetizer had been sent to a large party & that it would be another 10 minutes for a replacement. My burger was not yet prepared. I asked to cancel both as my party was done eating by that point. She did so & also gave a discount after speaking with the manager, so she deserves a 10 for her efforts. But, after issues with service the last 3 times, I’m done. It was bad for our guest to see me leave without anything to eat, and I wonder if large parties have more attention/better service. I just can't give a higher star, I tried, waited several hours after I left but it still didn't help. 5 for dinner, 4 of the dinners we're just OK, I had the Wally G burger with fries and a salad. My burger and fries came cold!! Our server wasn't around, I had to keep looking for her, when she did come over I told her my fries were cold but I didn't want any more, 2 bites into my burger and it was cold in the center. The server went up to the manager to get my meal taken off the bill but when she returned she told me the manager said: " she would take off 5 dollars from my meal because I ate some of the burger!" REALLY! How would I know it was cold in the center unless I took a bite or two!? I can't say it was a raciest thing because in our party was a dark skinned Hawaiian and a Hispanic 10 yr old but it did seem suspicious since other tables that came in after us were served first with the reason given "that they didn't see us" even though we walked in through the back door and through the dining room to a front table. We can't say we would ever be back or recommend to anyone but...
