Victorian Lady Tea Room — Restaurant in Mabank

On the day visiting the area, literally, everyone said "the Tea Room is the best place in town". It's located in a little shop area considered Market street. Your experience at Victorian Lady is like visiting your favorite and very loved grandma, who lives out in the country, for a meal. It is overly decorated with faded and long out dated decor but you feel welcome and comfortable! Comforting and not fussy dishes are served. The soup of the day, German potato, which has sliced sausage rounds, is a bit thin in consistency, but nice flavor - be sure to dip the crispy wafers that accompany soup for a nice pop of flavor! The sandwich of the day (which they tell you up front, will take about 20 minutes) has lots of flavor. The little muffin that is served with the open faced sammie is a wonderful way to complete your visit and goes fabulously with a warm cup of Victorian Lady Tea Room's signature tea! Visited for lunch with a group of 10. Service was prompt and excellent for our large group. Every order was correct. The food was fresh and delicious, and prices reasonable. I am anxious to visit again.

UPDATE: Shortly after my group visited, the organizer received a message that an earring was found in the restaurant, thinking it may have been one in our group. It was me! They were so kind and thoughtful to try to reunite the earring with the owner. This gave me a great excuse to visit again the following week to get my earring and have lunch again. I took my husband and he loved it as well.

The food could have come from the quikmart.It consists of a cold sandwich chips and a small amount of fruit. Then the walmart muffin that was nasty. The Christmas decor at the door would not reveal the truck stop style service with a grumpy waitress almost as harsh as the coffee and another who decided I was done with my food and stuck her thumb in my plate to remove it from me.
