Danny’s Ice Cream & Burgers — Restaurant in Macedonia

First, I will say that I had a long talk with my niece about not petting dogs without asking permission first. We were not blameless.

We had never been to Danny's before and thought we would give it a try. Since we had never been there before we were trying to get the lay of the land and the older gentleman commented that we looked confused. A simple, how can we help you, would have went a long way.

As we walked over to the ice cream choices, my 7 year old niece noticed a dog sitting near the order window. As she started to pet the dog, I stopped her and the younger gentleman leaned out the window and rudely said don't pet the dog.

As I was apologizing, he said there's a sign and motioned with his pen towards the sign. After he pointed it out, there were signs posted. Not exactly what I was paying attention to looking for the menu. But, okay.

Right next to the dont pet the dog sign was another sign that said, my dog is smarter than Joe Biden.

If we are questioning how smart someone is or is not, I have to seriously question how smart it is to bring an unleashed dog that can't be pet to a business that sells food and ice cream.

We were out for a ride and decided to stop for an ice cream. We have never been to Danny's. Big mistake there was 3 of us when it came our turn to order my husband ordered a banana split im guessing the older man was the owner he walked away and started making it and never took my sister or my order then a guy walked up at the food window and wanted a milkshake the guy stopped making our order and started making the guys milkshake. I was watching and he said for me to wait my turn I said I'm watching my banana split half made melting he started yelling at me so we walked away to leave and he keep yelling and giving us the finger. In the kitchen part of the ice cream shop a young boy maybe 12 was doing the cooking and seving the food isn't that against the child labor laws? Im guessing as mean as he is he can't get anyone to work for him. This is a horrible place ice cream shops should be a pleasure to go to. After reading all the reviews I'm surprised it's still in business. My advice pass this place by and go enjoy a ice cream...

I recently visited Danny's Ice-cream and overall had a fantastic experience. I would give it 4 stars because, although the strawberry shortbread sundae I ordered was absolutely delicious, the gravel parking lot was a bit challenging with limited parking and accessibility.

One thing that stood out to me was the large selection on the menu. There were so many options to choose from, making it difficult to decide! The quality of the ice cream was top-notch, and the strawberry shortbread sundae was a definite highlight.

My only suggestion would be that they could use some extra help during peak times, especially after sporting events or during the summer rush. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but they did their best to keep up with the demand.

Overall, I had a great experience at Danny's Ice-cream and would definitely recommend it to others. Just be prepared for a potentially crowded parking lot and be patient during busy times. I will be back to try more of their...
