I visited this store and was impressed by it. I was looking for a place I could go to for saltwater fish and advice. I talked to a fellow named Bo who sounded cool and had some ideas for my new set up. Never had saltwater fish before. I said I’ll be by later. When I arrived Bo was on a service call. So another guy helped me. Let’s call him Mr. Sweet…I showed him a picture of my tank his reply Sweet, showed a picture of my lighting Sweet… Which I was very proud of. Brought in a water sample that’s where the fun began. My sample is here he already got it oh then he started questioning me did you cycle the tank? Nitrates? Ammonia? Your salt is too high in your tank it should be 35 it’s 36 close to 37 do use RO water? I said I was getting RO water from Whole Foods good price. Oh you better be careful what kind of system do they have I don’t know you better be careful. We sell RO water we also have salt water more expensive but it’s better. Well the money that was burning in my pocket was now extinguished he made it sound like fish wouldn’t have a chance. I better stop there did he offer advice No Did he seemed like he wanted my business No He looked at me I looked at him Oh well thanks I wanted to kill myself as I left I was so depressed about all the hard work and money I spent. I came from Cleveland Heights and drove the long way home to try to figure out what happened. Read moreWarning encountered a very bad situation as a No Return Policy is not posted in the store and also not on the receipt. The owner Andrew very rude and very loud stating no merchandise can be returned once used. Bought a freshwater filter for a 100 gallon tank for an aquatic turtle which must have space at the top of the tank for basking. Once filter installed it was very noisy with a loud humming but also designed that the water level must be to the top of the tank to work. Once installed on Sunday 5/14/23 late evening the filter was immediately removed on 5/15/23. And dried and placed back in original packaging. Attempted to return and was told immediately could not return and he opened the box himself and placed filter in water and stated “ nothing wrong with this and it’s used SO cannot be returned I just lost money and will have to replace the filters!” Very scary for my granddaughter to have to deal with a grown man. She paid $266.00 of her monies for this. I was listening on the phone and he did speak with me FINALLY in a very loud tone said no returns an he would give an in store credit but only for $200.00 I told him no trying to get a word in he stated “do I have to get police involved”. I immediately told my granddaughter to leave take the merchandise and filed a Dispute for payment with Discover who is opening an investigation related no return policy posted or on the receipt.
