This was hands down the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had in my life. If I could give negative stars, I would.
First off, I sat in the drive-thru for over TWO HOURS. Yes, you read that right—TWO. FULL. HOURS. I don’t know what kind of chaos was going on inside, but there were only a few cars ahead of me and somehow everything moved at a glacial pace. No explanation, no apology—just a black hole of time wasted.
By the time I finally got to the window, the staff looked and acted like they couldn’t care less about being there. No greeting, no eye contact, just pure attitude. They were incredibly rude and unprofessional, like I was bothering them just by existing. It felt like I was being served by people who despise their job and are doing everything possible to show it.
When I finally got my food (if you can call it that), it was stone cold. Not even lukewarm—COLD. And worst of all, the soda? Flat and watery with zero syrup. It literally tasted like sparkling garbage water. A complete disgrace.
To make matters even worse, I had a trunk full of groceries that I picked up right before—thinking I’d be home in 20 minutes. Well, thanks to this disaster of a drive-thru, everything in my trunk spoiled. Meat, dairy, frozen items—all ruined. Easily $100+ down the drain because of this place’s total incompetence.
This isn’t just a bad location—this is a warning sign that something is seriously wrong with management, training, and overall operations. Do better or shut it down.
Avoid this place like the plague. You’d be better off eating gas station sushi. At least it wouldn’t waste half your day and destroy...
Read moreI am visiting my hometown in Macomb, Illinois. I live in California, presently, and go to Chipotle at least once a week back in CA. When I entered the Macomb location, I started to order my salad and saw there was no white rice. (It was right around 6pm). So I saw a prep cook was just putting more in a container I assumed would be added to the line. So I said I could wait for fresh rice. I was told that rice was for online orders and I couldn’t have any. I questioned that. No one but me was in line. The line person was very rude. She slammed down my salad and rolled my eyes when I questioned their policy. I usually get extra rice. The line worker got a manager and the manager said the store and “corporate” didn’t order enough rice and he had to save it for online orders. It was pretty early in the evening. I asked to please just give me one scoop. They reluctantly did. The manager said “don’t ever expect that again”. I was shocked. I asked if I went outside and ordered my salad if I could get more rice. They said yes. I found it very unusual to be treated like that as a customer standing in front of workers. I go to Chipotle because your food is fresh and higher quality than most places. I won’t go back to the Macomb location. That store just isn’t up...
Read moreI waited in the drive thru line for about 45 minutes, which was to be expected since they are newly opened but that wasn’t the issue. By the time I got to the window and told them my name for the order, they came back shortly after asking what my order even was. Upon getting my order figured out they informed me they were out of chips which I had ordered a large side of, but said they had the queso I ordered with them. Other than that small comment, I was not offered a refund or a substitute for the out of stock item on my order? Just informed I was not getting it although I paid for it? Not overly upset about them not having it, but disappointed in the professionalism of the business aspect. Now with all that being said, when I got home and was able to check my bag I was even more unimpressed that I wasn’t given the queso either and both of my items were made wrong. Normally I would make do or just try to fix it, but these were two completely different kinds of burrito bowls. The meats were swapped in both orders, leaving the wrong toppings on each bowl as well as toppings missing from both too. I try to be an understanding person as I have experience in food service, but 45 minutes and $30 later to have nothing right on my order at all is definitely...
