As I walked into this restaurant, employees proceeded to yell that the system was down and that they were only accepting exact cash. After I placed my order, I stood around for minutes and assumed that my sandwich was being made. However, I realized that no one ever asked me what I would like on my sandwich. Another customer came in after me and I noticed that his sandwich was made before mine despite me ordering before him. Then, an employee placed a sandwich on the counter without saying anything. Confused, I asked if the sandwich was mine because no one ever asked me what I wanted on my sandwich. I expressed that I could not accept the sandwich that was prepared with everything on it due to food allergies and the employee aggressively threw the sandwich in the trash. She got an attitude and rolled her eyes as she re-made the sandwich and then another employee came from the back to finish re-making the sandwich. I’ve never been to sandwich shop where someone has made a sandwich without asking me what I would like on it. As the sandwich was being re-made, some employees stood there watching with folded arms, attitudes, and eye rolls. Other employees could be heard saying that they were glad that the system was down and that they were ready to leave work. I felt compelled to watch the employees like a hawk to make sure my food wasn’t tampered with. Needless to say, customer service is non-existent at this location and the employees are clearly lacking home training and on-the-job training. Absolutely unacceptable and I won’t be...
Read moreI have never been more embarrassed. I made an online order for pickup. No delivery service. Just ordered the sandwich online and went there on my lunch break. The sandwich was wrong. The first time I didn’t realize it was wrong until I made it back to work. Now I head back up there. Ask for it to be remade. Got to my car and it is wrong again. At this point I no longer want firehouse. I kindly ask Crystal for a refund. This is my first encounter with Crystal. First she asked me to not hand the sandwich over the counter. I get that. But why did the employee take the sandwich from me? Not my job to know there procedures. But she decided to school me like a child. Then she told me “we do not give refunds but I would be happy to personally make you another”. Well. I honestly did not want anything from this particular firehouse. So I again asked for a refund. She continued to offer another sandwich. I continue to ask for a refund. She refused to give me my money back. I left the restaurant with no food or money. My entire lunch break was gone. I called the corporate number. Apparently this place was just bought out by someone and is a franchise. If you use to like this place. Be aware. New owners DO NOT give you your money back even if you did not eat there food due to it being incorrect. I will repost this everyday until I receive...
Read moreSo, I recently tried out Firehouse Subs and it was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, let's talk about the location. It's situated in a run-down shopping center that clearly gave up on maintaining the landscaping. Not the most inviting sight, to be honest.
Now, let's move on to the restaurant itself. The setup is your typical Firehouse subs, but it felt like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The doors and windows were covered in fingerprints and a perpetual haze. The walls had a yellowed and dirty appearance, and everything seemed to have a layer of filth on it. Not the cleanest place, that's for sure.
On the positive side, the staff was fantastic. They were attentive and friendly while taking our order. It was genuinely nice to talk to them. However, when our subs arrived, they weren't prepared correctly. We specifically asked for no onions, but they were still included. Despite that, I have to admit the subs themselves were really good and delicious!
In summary, Firehouse Subs is a bit of a hit or miss. The restaurant's cleanliness definitely needs improvement, but the friendly staff and tasty subs make up for it. Just be sure to double-check your order to avoid any surprises.
Overall, it's not a bad spot if you're in the mood for a tasty sub, but don't expect a pristine dining...
