I had been boycotting Papa John's for a few years but decide to give it a chance again since some recent changes "Shaquille O'neal endorsement" . My grandson and I visited this locations young man was polite, I notice his flour filled hands and black dirt under his finger nails so I asked if they used gloves when handling the food? He said no so I asked if he could wash his hand since he was handling the register and cash while taking the order. He seem to be the manager only 2 employees present the young lady was preparing a order which she went to deliver. He agreed to wash but I believe my request may have offend him. I have a weak immune system, from health conditions on many meds and must be careful of many simply food handling procedures. I meant no harm to this man. He made the pizza lg. Hand toss Italian sausage bacon half onions green peppers he was very quick, always polite and kind, but I believe my request for clean hands affected the results of my pizza. It looked nothing like the pictures or commercials barely any meat or toppings mostly dough bubbled up no sauce. I opened it was very disappointed with results I guess the racism works down to the pizza as well. So I'm returning to my boycott because the only thing you sale is customer service. Read moreSo I goofed on my online delivery order and tried to fix it before door dash driver left. Not successful in doing so, so I placed a delivery order with them. Almost an hour goes by so I call and they're saying oh the door dash guy just arrived and the order will probably leave in a few minutes. So I'm thinking ok that's fine. I'm less than 10 minutes away so no biggie. WRONG. Another 45min or 50min pass and still no pizza. So I call again. They pass the phone to the manager(Jacob). I ask if the driver has left with the order yet, so he looks up my order. We both got a surprise. The manager that was on shift when I placed that order CANCELLED IT FOR NO APPARENT REASON. No phone call for explanation, and no note for the shift change manager(Jacob). He made it right though and replaced my order for free so I came and got it. Not mad or anything but that other manager needs more training in what to do when orders get backed up. I'm guessing he cancelled it to boost their numbers for delivery times. The supposed GM didn't like me going off on her cashier for refusing to cancel my order and when I asked for it to be canceled she says oh my god with a disgusted voice. Didn't bother figuring out what the issue I had was or why. Just stood by her very unprofessional employee and said it's OK because she's just a child. So she threw me out of the store and started threatening to put 8 rounds in my head while waving a gun around outside by her car. I hope this franchise goes under and papa John's gets it right when I call corporate and closes this store or gets in new employees. I will make sure everyone hears this experience and doesn't go there. Problem is she doesn't care how she represents the company. She's just there for a check.
