Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Macon

Poor quality service at this Zaxbys. We waited at the drive-thru to order for over 6 min and no one ever acknowledged us as we were saying hello and we'd like to order. We proceed and pull to the window and inform the associate that we were not an on-line order as she asked and informed her that we waited in line to order and no one ever acknowledged us. She proceeds to ask for our order and then stops to tell us we'd have have to drive back around and order from drive-thru microphone. Our order number was #4931 and to add insult to shame, my wings were cold. We eat at Zaxbys in Clermont FL wkly and sad to say, this was the worst service ever. 26 of us are traveling together and I made the suggestion to stop here vs Chick Fil A, wrong move. The one young lady at the drink machine said they couldn't answer us the 1st time due to so many people came in at once, well, those were my family members, but we choose to come thru drive-thru. Oh well,...

The usual Zaxby's complaints apply here.

For one, they are slow. The restaurant serves up fried wings and chicken strips, some of the smallest I've seen. It's fast food, it should not take so long. If you aren't predicting your flow of customers for a product like this, you don't deserve our business.

The second is the cost. Almost $6 for the 5 of the tiniest chicken wings on the planet. That's $1.20 each.

And an additional complaint applicapble to this store is the not accpeting AMEX. They are approved for it, as they have accidentally run my card, but they choose not to accept it. At these prices and the fees for sauces, I hope they aren't complaining about the transaction fee?

My least favorite zaxby's in town. It don't matter what time you go, the food is either cold and soggy or overcooked. I have gotten burnt bread more times here than any of the other locations combined. With the constant price increases at zaxbys they should at least keep their quality up. All other locations in town are great but who ever the cook is at this one needs to learn when to stop cooking something. I mean if they had a chick-fil-a on this side of town i would never return to this location. I guess I should start parking my car and looking at the food before i leave the parking lot but honestly I should not...
