1st & last time here. My family & I tried the Trading Post Pub for dinner tonight as we always really loved the Pub on Main prior to being what it is now. Needless to say, it was A VERY disappointing experience.
We were seated for about 15 min before a girl comes over and says "do you have a server?" We didn't so she started taking our drink order. A few of us wanted to order beers/ciders. The servers reply was "I don't know much about alcohol. You can go to the bar for those drinks." I was confused so I asked for water. After waiting another 10 minutes for drinks to be brought over by a different server I take it upon myself to go to the bar. The bartender was as nice as could be & got us a cider/beer right away.
It took almost 45 minutes for our order to be taken after being seated. When the girl was taking our order, she wasn't knowledgeable of the menu whatsoever. She kept asking what we meant & had us point to our selections on the menu to clarify. We waited 30 minutes for an appetizer (nachos) & when our entrees finally came out after almost an 1hr 1/2 wait, some of that food was wrong. I ordered the Trading Post Salad & was given the Mexican Salad. The server never checked in (or brought the entrees to the table) so I had to go to the bar once again to get this fixed or it never would've been taken care of. We also ordered the NY Burger that was supposed to come with a burger patty & short rib but did not have a patty at all. My boyfriend had the chicken sandwich & it was so chewy on the inside. He didn't finish it unsure if it was actually cooked all the way through because it didn't seem like it.
We never received drink refills from our server. Other servers/bussers kept checking in on us to make sure we were taken care of & profusely apologizing for the lack of service we had.
At the end, the waitress we had never brought us our check, never checked in on our dinner & never apologized for any of the mishaps expect for the salad that she brought out a second time. The busser brought us our Togo boxes, check & closed us out. He (as well as another server taking tables around us) refilled our drinks & made sure we were taken care of after walking by a number of times & seeing our server was MIA.
Needless to say, it was an odd experience & we probably...
Read moreI'm very sorry to leave this review but I hope the restaurant can learn from it. This restaurant was not prepared to handle 35 women. Yes, there were 2 servers but the food came out extremely slow. We saw 1-2 orders coming out at a time. Took 2 hrs for all to be served. Yet we were told if we ordered a lunch special, it would be easier on the kitchen. We'll, there must've been only 1 cook. Then I saw multiple plates being sent back because of errors. One lady was compensated with bowl of soup that wasn't even hot. There was a burger that was bloody red. Just so disappointing. Your website says you are ADA accessible. You are not. Women had trouble with the steps at entrance. Parking lot is gravel with no ADA spaces. So we will not be coming back for a return visit. Oh, lastly, $3 is outrageous charge for card use. All other places that charge a surcharge do 3%! For $10 special that would've been 30cents! Again, very sorry but I had to be honest. -Lorra Seymour Ladies Luncheon...
Read moreI unfortunately had a pretty terrible first experience! I went in Sunday night after the eagles game to grab some food and drinks with a friend. I was taken care by a women behind the bar and was not particularly welcomed. I was asked if I spoke like my friend “meaning if I spoke Spanish” which I don’t. After that I was ignored when I asked if we could shoot some pool I was told it was closed. I was told by other locals that have gone there that unfortunately that my experience was common. I had one friend who has supported them several times and met with judgement for continuing to provide them business. I am a local I live on Main Street walking distance from the trading post and was so excited to have a neighbor bar. Where there were regulars and a sense of community and I got everything but that when I went. I unfortunately don’t know if I...
