I'm insanely disappointed with the customer service and my experience at this location.
I used to buy from the Waterford store, practically religiously. Fantastic service and food. However, I just moved to Madison Heights and I doubt I'll ever step foot into this location again.
I've worked in multiple pizza places before. I know how long it takes to prep, cook, cut and serve. There should be no reason that a pick up order should take an hour to serve. Unless you are talking about Super Bowl Sunday or some time of event like that.
But lets put that aside for a minute.
Walking into the place, I swear time slowed down. The 3 visible employees were working as if they were stuck in molasses on a glacier. On top of that, the pregnant woman working, had her child there. Which couldn't have been more than 10. Now, I don't have an issue with this at all. The fact that she is pregnant or the child being there, that is. I however, have an issue with the fact that she scolded her child for handing us the pizza, because it could get the child or the child's mother in trouble. However, the child is the only one that actually helped us.
Not to mention, after we were handed the pizza. The employee walked away without taking any money. After something was stated, it took another 10 minutes to get someone over to the counter to take our payment. Unto which, they couldn't even find our ticket.
I seriously hope that this location can get their act together. 3 employees running a store is more than enough on any given day. I know this from years of experience as a line cook. It takes no longer than 15min to cook a pizza (Depending on oven style and if they customer wants a pizza cooked well done), Should take no longer than 2min to prep the pizza and no longer than 2 min to box, cut and serve. Hence, practically any place you go, tells you 15-20 min. AT MOST 25-30. Not...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for over 10 years and typically have never had an issue and the food has always been pretty good/decent. This time in particular I found myself very disappointed. I started going to the Berkley location because we received decent service and were questioning the bacon and pepperoni as we’ve gotten sick a time or 2 from the Madison heights location and couldn’t pin point it. Well I took a chance trying Madison Heights again and got disappointed.
While searching online for coupons, the website advertised a meal deal for 2 large 2 topping pizzas with inn stick and a salad for $32 bucks and when I tried to call it in the staff refused to honor what was on the site. Instead I was encouraged to order from the app and maybe the discount would be there and that while signing up I’d receive a free cheesy bread. 15 minutes later After downloading the app, signing up and attempting to redeem the cheesy bread the app wouldn’t even allow me to redeem It lol. Overall I wasted 15 minutes to save 15 dollars when the management could have just honored the coupons that were on the site. Needless to say it really wasn’t that great big of a deal, but even when I questioned redeeming the cheese bread the staff just said oh well. I’m saddened that customer service is completely out of the door and to top it off we got sick again from the ham pizza. It will be a hard pass from us on this location. Not sure if they are properly chilling the meats after...
Read moreHave been thinking this review over for a while now. There was a time that we would order cottage inn at least once a week. The first issue is when we used a Groupon. The store refused to deliver despite the fact that we regularly tipped well and it was stated that delivery was an option in the Groupon itself. The second and more concerning issue was with their sun dried tomatoes. The first time I ordered them it was on flat bread, the pizza was delivered and the tomatoes were completely blackened. I called and the manager said "that's just the way they come out" he also said it was the flat bread that made them come out this way. Having a decent experience with them before this moment I asked if they would remake the pizza since the tomatoes were so heavily burned the manager was unable to do this but offered a ten dollar credit. I agreed to this, i sit here now after being told that the manager had never wrote the credit down. Despite this I ordered my pizza, sun dried tomatoes on regular round. I should have checked, they're blackened again. After almost a year of ordering here they have finally lost my business. Costumer service is so important in a pizza place. If your looking for decent pizza that's what they are but just be forewarned there is no support. If your pizza is wrong they have a very "so...
