I grew up right over the bridge. Born and raised. That said, my parents/family NEVER came here. I never understood why? So, Saturday was my day. We walked into an almost empty restaurant. Empty at 7pm. And with experiences like I have I can see why. First let’s start. Looking at their very, very limited option. I landed on the crab cakes. Problem was, it was not fresh crab. It’s canned but she did say it was the finest canned meat but for almost $20, you’d expect a step up from canned cat food. So we decided to get the fresh Ceasars salad with a cup of French onion. First came my French onion. Think of a cup with very little broth at the bottom, tons of stole bread a top and then covered in cheese. The bread being stale in the soup tasted just that’s stale. Onto my Caesar. I had a few bites but the amount of dressing on my salad was crazy. It was swimming. I ate maybe 3/4 bites and I just couldn’t eat it. I sent it back. The Ceasars was overpowering. (I don’t eat anchovies but ate them as I didn’t know. My problem. Not theirs) that said.. THE OWNER walked over to talk about our salad. I took the lead. He asked what was wrong. I said sir there was just too much dressing, this man Bud sat at my table and continued to argue that this is how he makes his salad for years. Back and forth. I told him it was too much for me and this man took absolute offense to such a comment. I was very nice. Too nice for the way this man was talking to me. Finally after 5 minutes, the guy I was with said ok this conversation is done. The owner Bud, has lost his mind. My jaw was on the floor the whole time. In a restaurant people will have different tastes. I’ll attach pictures. But, they charged us $24.96 for 2 dinner salad plates. We couldn’t eat the salad and the soup was stale. We are taking the charge to our credit card company. NOW I can see why my parents never came here. If you were raised in RO you know Pesquales/Peabody was our go-to. For the money you spend here, you could go down to Telway and eat better for cheaper. But if you don’t like something, don’t send it back!!

The Gordon Ramsay effect! I haven't been getting out as much as I used to however, we stopped by here on a whim. I had been here 10 maybe 12 years ago and was aware that this was a higher end, bar atmosphere, dining experience. We had a conversation with the manager after our dining experience and he explained that Gordon Ramsay had come in there and changed many things as a part of his TV show/restaurant renovation program. Apparently Gordon Ramsay had been to another restaurant that we like to frequent in Warren, that restaurant did not survive his makeover. Which is unfortunate because that restaurant had a very diverse menu with good food at very fair prices. One thing I noticed here is that the menu was very monotone. The menu was heavy on the beef steaks with a selection of lamb in a couple of seafood entrees. Absolutely no chicken on the menu. I have a feeling this will change with time because a good diverse menu will draw the customers in. One thing I can say about what we did order was the flavor was there there was no salt and pepper on the table and we did not need it at all. Everything was seasoned correctly when it came and was served to us. I'm sure there will be some folks that would think that it was over seasoned, I tend to salt my salt. Gordon Ramsay is an excellent chef and has many things that he makes very well however changing the Metro Detroit eatery scene based on his own whims and tastes I think is a big mistake. Most restaurants are struggling post COVID and I understand everything is changed and not for the better. My hope is that this restaurant will diversify their menu a little bit better and survive what I am calling The Dave Ramsey effect.

This place has so much potential but right now it just doesn't use that. By just driving by You wouldn't even there is a restaurant at that corner. I must admit the construction works don't make it easy right now, but come on.. a refurbished sign or something would help a lot. The food was really great. We were three and had the New York strip. The Steak was awesome, the sides were great and the cook even made garlic butter for us. Our waitress (sorry forgot the name because it was over a week ago) was a bit excited but super nice and tried taking care of all our special wishes. There was a live saxophone player as well. 5/5, will come again.

First of all the place is dirty and we out of date. I understand the trying to go with the old retro steakhouse look but the problem is they just haven’t updated it which is the only reason it looks like that. Second of all the food is way overpriced for what you get. The caprice salad is warm, and I paid nine dollars for a glass of wine when you can get a bottle literally anywhere for 7.99, most importantly the service was awful. The waitress had said she been there for 23 years so we figured she may be at least good at what she does, not at all! Not only did she take forever but she continuously told me that I should’ve ordered no onions even though I asked for light onions. Did not make any sense if I want to no onions I would’ve ordered no onions. Then she made a comment about how we were basically sleeping at the table when we were waiting for our check for 25 minutes, after realizing how tired we were and how long we’ve been waiting she’s still continue to sit there and talk to her coworkers and make us wait longer, my husband never complains at restaurants and normally gets mad when I do but he’s the one who asked me to leave this review. That says a lot because he’s all about giving people great tips and good reviews even when they suck. I’ve lived around here my whole life and I’ve always wondered How the food was, we were extremely disappointed. We even considered walking out at one point because we were waiting for our bill for so damn long. And it’s not like they were busy we literally watched her sit and talk to her coworkers while we’re falling asleep...
