I have shopped at this establishment for many years, intermittently, recently I have spent hundreds of dollars there. In the past few months, I have purchased frozen food that is freezer burned, multiple times. The freezer has been broken on many occasions, which I’m sure is the cause of the poor quality frozen food. At times, I’ve selected other products due to this inconvenience and the time of day that I am able to get there. This last time the food I selected didn’t work at all, as my French bulldog couldn’t tolerate the raw. I returned both bags, one not opened and one with over half a bag left. I was told I could have an in store credit for the whole opened bag, to be fair, I offered to take credit for half of the bag. When I got home I realized that I hadn’t even received credit for a quarter of the bag. I brought this to the attention of the manager that did the return, and she refused to give me the full credit I was due. I requested for one of the owners to call me, I was told they would, and they did not. The customer service can be a lot to be desired once they decide you’re not worthy of it. This isn’t anything personal, I was shorted money/ credit and have not been able to get it resolved. I cannot reiterate enough that I’ve spent quite a bit of money in this store, between the two locations. The credit that I had coming to me, should not have been an issue. They have the food and I’m still owed money... Also, another issue is that one of the workers, on a regular basis, wipes her runny nose & her mouth that, frequently, has sores on it with her hand, and then handles the product and the money that the customers have to handle immediately after. To be shorted money, to not receive a call back from the owners, receiving poor quality frozen food, and health risks, I think it’s time to move on.
Because of the reaction to my post, I am just seeing the Pet Beastro’s response.. Once I made a post like this I was done, I was actually done to make a post this.. anyhow, I no longer had ANY interest in ANY type of communication from this establishment. Louis, the owner, DID NOT respond to me until I made my post! He actually avoided my multiple attempts to contact them/ him. It was awful customer service, therefore, not a place I would recommend. It is unfortunate because they have a plethora of natural supplements and foods.. I will reiterate, the customer service was good until it wasn’t and without warrant it was NOT! Due to the horrible customer service and the lack of resolve, I felt compelled to make this post.....
Read moreThis shop offers the services of Dr. Christina and Dr. Grant, which is why I originally went there. It is not conveniently located for me, so I don't usually shop for food there, but I have definitely spent money on supplements and other products. Recently, I bought some sale items to try for joint issues. These were pointed out to me by a friendly staffer at the front counter. I didn't think to ask about the return policy because most pet food stores take back food if your dog or cat won't eat it. When I called today to say that my dog wouldn't touch one of the Toppers I'd purchased, I was told I would be able to bring food back for a store credit-as long as it was brought back in the condition in which I purchased it which, in this case, would have meant refrozen. We then had a whole conversation about the return policy and how one would know the requirement for the food to be in the original condition. I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't buy an opened container with a scoop clearly out of it, refrozen or not. They should at least post the policy where it can be seen at checkout or have it on the receipt. This felt like a "gotcha" moment, and not one in my favor. Not the experience one hopes for at the friendly neighborhood...
Read moreI went here for the first time today and while this store is very clean and has a good selection (when you can find it), I unfortunately won't be going back.
Firstly, from the moment I entered the store I had an employee basically follow me. Additionally, in the maybe 10 minutes I was there, I was asked by both that same employee and two other employees multiple times if I needed help. I understand wanting to be helpful, but I don't want to feel like I'm being monitored and accosted by every single person working in a store when I shop there. And given the way the store is laid out, I'm not sure anyone would have even been able to help me because simply saying "I'm looking for toys for my dog" would have led me down almost every aisle in the store, and it did -- I had to go down at least 4 aisles multiple times to find items I wanted.
I also wasn't offered a bag for my items and had to carry an armful of dog toys out to my car.
I want to support local businesses but I simply did not feel welcome...
