Biggby Coffee — Restaurant in Madison Heights

To be honest, I would give zero stars if I could. I have given this Biggby location multiple chances and every time I get disappointed. Not only are the prices more than other locations, but their sandwiches are absolutely awful and half the time they’re either too cold or so warm that the cream cheese completely soaks in and it’s a soggy mess. The last time I went here I paid nearly $40 for two breakfast sandwiches that were so stale and undercooked it was inedible,two coffees with oat milk (they put whole milk in and I ended up getting very sick 🤢) and a container of donut holes while at the Ferndale location- I ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches and two coffees, and somehow that was less than my total at the Madison Heights location.. 38.50. Kinda odd isn’t it? The worst part about this location for me is that you never get premium service or food, there’s coffee grounds in all their iced coffees, and when I get to the bottom of my cup, you can clearly see all the grounds at the bottom, and they harass you at the window to leave a tip on the card. and I always feel bad so I end up leaving a pretty big tip when in all honesty, they weren’t very deserving of it. The Ferndale location blows Madison heights out of the water! Hot, fresh perfect sandwiches, amazing coffee that’s made right and to order, and FRIENDLY people! Smiles everywhere you look! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!

Just went to this location this morning, gave my order for a 20oz hot salted caramel latte with coconut milk no whip and a 20oz hot chia tea latte with coconut milk no whip add hazelnut. When I got to the window I said excuse me ma’am I just want to ensure that you heard me say coconut milk in both. She says I did for the chai but not the salted caramel. I repeated my order and said sorry ma’am but I did say it. She closes the window with an attitude, heads over to her coworker to tell her to remake the drink she wanted coconut milk and didn’t say it. Then proceeds back to the register and yells she did not say that. When she open the window I said excuse me ma’am I heard you. She says what, I said I heard you! Then proceeds to tell me that’s fine. I said wow!!!! That’s rude. We proceed to go back and forth and I asked for the manager. Come to find out she was on the side of here the entire time. I asked her did you not hear her, she says what? I said did you not hear her, and she said well it’s loud in here. I said she is rude, she then a says we’re remaking your drink, by this time I don’t want it anymore. I asked her for the store owners name and contact and left. I'm not sure what happened to this location. They used to be great, but they lost the majority of their staff and the employees they currently have are.. not great. To start, the man at the window kept my change and put it in his tip jar without even asking me. Second I ordered a drink with oat milk and judging by how awful I feel, it was absolutely made with normal milk. Third when we asked for a second flat lid to use later on, they provided it but then also gave me my frozen drink with a flat lid and all the whipped cream clearly wiped off and all over the cup. I said when I asked for the flat lid that it was to use later and that I still wanted the normal dome lid. When I asked the man where all the whip was, he slammed the door in my face and came back with a cup full of caramel and whip and shoved it into my hand. I was short on time so I didn't have time to argue and as I started driving off, he slammed the drive through window again, this time hard enough that it sounded like it broke. When we called as we were driving away and asked to speak to the manager, she just cut us off and wouldn't even let us talk. Absolutely horrible customer service and with the coffee there getting worse, it's likely we'll never go back even though we went at least...
