We just moved to the area, and pizza is a mainstay for our family, so I, of course, had already scoped out the pizza scene. Immediately, a 4.9 rated brick-oven pizza joint stood out. It was a short 24 minutes from our new home, so we thought we'd take a break from unpacking and give it a try. What others have said is true. The pizza is very good, and the staff are amazing! They care about their service and are passionate about what they do. We were also glad we showed up a couple of minutes before they opened. It's not a very big space, and it didn't take long before it filled up. But don't let that deter you. Their system works. The cooks and owner are on top of orders and can throw pies out rather quickly with their custom brick oven (which you can check out from their viewing window). As for the pizza(s), it was very good. We prefer a sweet sauce, but we know that's personal preference. Don't let our preference deter you. The ingredients were noticeably fresh. You could tell that everything that could be made from scratch was. Top notch ingredients all the way around. Finally, the owner. We sat next to the viewing window, and he picked up on our curiosity. Not only did he make sure to show us our pizzas before and after cooking, but he also came to chat with us for a bit. Well done, sir! Customer service at its finest. We'll keep trying other pizza joints in the area, but I can guarantee we'll be back.

My wife and I ALWAYS try to find the “best” pizza any time we travel. We live not too terribly far away semi local 40 miles away)from Madison but had never heard of this place. With my son’s sports team we now go to Madison frequently. I stumbled across their reviews one day online and HAD to check it out after being dumbfounded that a possible hidden gem was in my back yard. We went on a Sunday and was greeted with a smile by the owner. He and the staff were terrific! After giving us the history of how he got started (which was very fascinating) he explained how everything is made in house from the dough to the sauce, He suggested “The Claw” for my wife and the “Ritchie Valens” for me. And I must say, we were BLOWN AWAY with how amazing these pizzas were! My daughter who is very picky got a personal pan cheese and it too was amazing! We also got a piece of cheesecake and peanut butter pie which he said his wife makes. They too were to die for! This is definitely a place that is worth visiting! It is by far the best brick oven style pizza I’ve ever had! We also got an appetizer that I can’t remember the name of. They were pieces of dough just absolutely stuffed with cheese! And they sat in their homemade sauce! IF YOU ARE IN MADISON, GO TO BBOPS!

I could not recommend this place anymore! As soon as we walked in a guy in the kitchen smiled big and waved like welcoming family. The ladies in front immediately greeted us and asked if we was eat in or carry out. We picked our seat got our menus and the man from the kitchen window came out smiling and welcomed us. Waitress (Mallorie, I believe) shared the special pizza, The Hudson which was pepperoni pizza and ground Italian sausage. Introduced a new appetizer, cheese puff which would serve 4. We skipped the appetizers after reading reviews I regret that! Ordered two pizzas both The Hudson which were absolutely amazing, the meat and cheese extremely flavorful and crust perfect. I wanted a photo of the brick oven and the owner invited me back to see it in person and I even got a photo! Owner came out, told us The Hudson will be a regular as it is named after his grandson. Server paid great attention to our drink refills and knew just the right time to share the home made dessert menu. Peanut butter pie for the win. Again the owner came out, shared a bit about his training and his wife's amazing desserts. Treated like family, not an out of stater, the entire visit. This was the perfect dinner after a day at Clifty Falls State Park.

Amber & I rode down to Madison, IN and enjoyed an overnight. Before heading back, I had to try a new pizza. We found this little place & decided to give it a try. Dude! This place is amazing! We walk in and there is the guy with the cheesy smile from the Google page! We didn't find out until the end, he actually owns the place. We ordered cheesy bread, salad, & each of us ordered a personal pizza. (No, mine wasn't a 16") Everything possible is made in house. This crust, let me tell you, the best I believe I've ever had! The topping included smoked meats that he smokes in the pizza oven. After our meal, he took us back in the kitchen to see this huge pizza oven that he brought home from Italy! He was using hickory wood, gas, & induction heat for cooking everything on his menu. Everything is cooked in this pizza oven. Out behind the building was his herb garden. I'm telling you, he has this pizza thing figured out! The cool part was that it's a family restaurant. Everyone there was happy and helpful. We had 3 different people check on us, including the owner. They love their job and it shows in their customer service. Great service... Great food.... That's all this guy needs in...
