Breadbowl quality is declining rapidly, twice now I have gotten partially raw (not moist, not soft an chewy, but RAW) bread. First time, I complained and they brought me a new one, very much overcooked. They likely thought I was being nitpicky and difficult, so overcooked the replacement to be safe. I was not. It was RAW bread and gross. Second time, didn't say anything because only a small portion was raw and I could just toss that part. The most recent time I got a breadbowl, it was more of a "plate" and many of the noodles were dry and cooked to a hard crisp - gross. Inconsistency with the deepdish pizza is a shame as well. Sometimes it arrives AMAZING.. Gooey, crispy, buttery, perfect. Other times it arrives soft, limp, dull, some slices only half covered in cheese and sauce. I don't even bother getting sandwiches anymore. Topping quantity and quality has dropped drastically. They use to be my favorite thing on the menu (next to the mac n cheese, which they altered so much it tasted like spray cheese with slimy noodles, until eventually it was discontinued). This use to be EASILY the best Dominos in Madison. Now the only way it still could be is if the others have declined in quality in line with this one.
I order Dominos, A LOT, so I expect some level of variety, what with different cooks, different spot-checkers, etc. But being able to fairly accurately expect one or two things ordered to be completely horrible, is not acceptable But I can't not order Dominos because it's so damn good and and affordable and with ShopRunner I save $2.50 on every order
Fingers crossed, here's hoping the food I just ordered is good quality.
(PS, no I have not kept a record of who is making my food at any given time. It is a two person job to cook and spot-check, so the "team" is going to rotate often enough it should even out so the food at least comes out somewhat average more often than not. But it does not, so the issue is no...
Read moreOn 9/5/25 my husband and I picked up a large pizza and 16 wings from this location. The pizza was alright, but the wings hardly had any sauce on them. Photo attached I called and the guy who answered the phone lacked so much accountability and customer service. He stated they put the standard amount of sauce on the wings, and if we wanted to come back he would put extra sauce on them for us. I let him know we live 15 minutes 1 way, 30 minutes round trip and I wasn’t going to come back for sauce that should already be on the wings. I asked for a credit to which he stated “I’m not going to give you a $17.99 credit because of sauce” which is crazy because that’s the upsetting part as the customer, I paid $17.99 for 16 wings and got home to not even be able to enjoy them. The wings cost more than my pizza. After defending himself and arguing with me he offered me 20% off my next order. For reference that’s $3.50 cents off an order of 16 wings. I won’t be returning to this location, instead I’ll drive the same distance to the location on East Washington St.
My advice for this location’s management - for the sake of customer retention. Sometimes it’s best to give the customer the benefit of the doubt, and make sure you’re offering good service. Not everyone is looking for free food. In this case I really didn’t receive a good product. This isn’t my first time ever ordering Dominos, so telling me I’ve received the standard amount of sauce and arguing with me only made the situation more...
Read moreI placed a an order tonight the app shows the correct on my end but I’m the stores end they got the apartment # wrong. I buzzed the driver Christine in & she went to the wrong apartment (my dad’s) I’m in the hallway waiting on her to come to my apartment & hear her rudely tell him I can call the store pertaining to my order. She never attempted to call my phone to say that she was there & couldn’t deliver. I had to call the store 4 times before someone answered. Upon calling I was placed on speaker & the driver was in the background lying saying that we had no money to pay for the food when in reality it was simply the wrong apt # (same building). The solution from the store was for me to come into the store which is literally a couple of stoplights away to pick up my order because the driver refused to come back. I declined because that was the whole point of ordering delivery I did not want to drive anywhere. About 5 mins later CJ called from the store and offered to remake my entire order and personally deliver it himself. I could tell that he genuinely wanted to rectify the situation, he was very apologetic. However, by this time I’m already furious with how my delivery was initially handled & the initial lack of empathy. Because I couldn’t personally see them remake the food I declined his offer. If there’s a dispute at a restaurant I do not take food I didn’t have prior to the incident as a safety precaution (if you know...
