I don't know what happened to Happy Wok. They took off some great dishes from the menu. The food is now mediocre. Everything is an extra charge, including sweet & sour sauce packages for 30¢ per little package, you know, the ones that were free. I will also tell you NOT to order extra meat or seafood because it doesn't make it into the container. These aren't the standard Chinese Almond Cookies. They are 2 inches in diameter and don't have much flavor. They stopped doing their own website and delivery. A sure sign that they will be going out of business soon. I'd rather buy Chinese food from a gas station!

I went thru the drive through and ordered a Super Shrimp Fried Rice 😅. I thought it was a large! Oops... Luckily I enjoy their rice!! My wife and I will have leftovers for days. I also ordered Orange Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, and there fired chicken. The fried chicken was okay, I probably won’t order it again. I would have liked the General Tso’s chicken to be a bit spicer (Personal Preference). The Orange chicken was good. All and all I will certainly order again everything but the fried chicken.

First time visiting Happy Wok when my husband and I make our occasional trips to Madison. We wanted to try something different then just going to the regular chain restaurants we usually go to. We had questions about the ordering process and food size options. The staff patiently answered our questions and helped us through the ordering process. Food was delicious and plentiful for a reasonable price. Still had left overs to pack up to take on our 6 hour drive back home.

First time I went there messed up my order. Forgot my crab ragoons . I didn't realize until I got home. I nicely called to let them know and asked how they would fix this. I was told by the woman who gave me my order that she made a mistake and gave my crab ragoons to someone else. She told me they would deliver them to my house. 1 HOUR later no food and no call. I called them back again very nice to see what happened. Some boy told me there was no such order, I was wrong and they weren't going to deliver anything. I explained again and heard the woman whom I spoke with earlier next to him explain things to him. He tried to tell me there was a misunderstanding and I was still wrong and they still weren't going to deliver. He offered a credit for the crab ragoons for my next visit. I accepted this because it was better then nothing! I told him there may never be a NEXT TIME due to their shity customer service! He then proceeded to tell me he never attacked me on the phone but still told me I was at fault for the whole thing....

We're vacationing in Madison for my birthday, and seen this place has A LOT of good reviews. So....first off, was not impressed that they not only charge a 'service charge' for pickup orders, but you cannot NOT leave a tip. Like no option. I'm sorry, but since when do we start tipping for an order I have to go out and pick up myself?!?! Anyways, whatever....we ordered pepper steak, pork lo mein, orange chicken, steamed dumplings, and crab Rangoon. The pepper steak and rangoons were delicious, but the orange chicken was not crispy whatsoever, like it had sat around way too long. My husband said the dumplings sauce lacked flavor (seriously?!? This is the saltiest, yummy sauce normally ANYWHERE) So....there it is. Chicken was soggy, the dumplings sauce sucked, the fees for every little thing are kind of a future dealbreaker ($1.00 for sauce for the rangoons?!?!?!) 🙄 BUT, the rangoons and pepper steak, and actually the pork lo mein too, ...

5/5, amazing food, awesome customer service, food comes out quick and hot.

Staff is the usual workers so if you go regularly (like me), you can meet/talk to the same people. They are very friendly and will pick up/remember on your usual order. You can tell a lot of customers are regulars.

By far the cleanest Chinese restaurant around, tables are clean, windows are clean, bathroom's are clean. Well lite so it doesn't feel like you are eating in a hole. Climate is perfect for those hot summer days or if you are eating spicey food. Huge menu for anything you desire even with dietary restrictions.

They do get busy during lunch and dinner but they still make the effort to getting you taken care of in a timely manner.

Tip: Bourbon Chicken and crab rangoons will have...
