TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I purchased a new vehicle from here about a year ago and it was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I went in knowing exactly what vehicle and options I wanted so I thought it would have been an easy process, but unfortunately I was wrong. The salesman seemed to know nothing about the vehicle and any question that I asked, he basically had to Google the answer, which I could have done myself. I expected to have to wait for it to arrive due to covid causing delays in production so 6 months after purchasing, the vehicle finally arrived. During that 6 month waiting period, I only received updates when I reached out to them and that felt like pulling teeth to get answers. Since the production took a while I also asked for interior measurements so I could start ordering stuff for a custom build. Not only were these difficult to get from them, they were wrong. This led to me having to spend an extra $3,000 in modifications just to make everything fit. Maybe this is my fault for trusting them, but it was very frustrating and an expensive mistake. On top of that, when the vehicle finally arrived, it did not have everything we had thought we had ordered. It was missing the tow hitch, the upgraded sound system, and the ceiling insulation. The insulation that had been put in on the walls and floor was not good craftsmanship. The salesman even agreed to this. These were all things that we had requested when we placed the order and had to get them repaired/added after the fact at other companies. The hitch ended up costing us about $450 with another company and when I mentioned it to Ford, their comment was that they actually saved us money because a hitch is more expensive through Ford. No apology or offer to cover the cost. It was incredibly disappointing to say the least. When we were going through the walkthrough, the person showing us couldn't answer any basic questions such as where the battery was located. It blew my mind that no one at Ford seemed to know anything about their vehicles. We were also promised a $1,000 rebate when we purchased the vehicle and when we asked about it, we were told that the paperwork they filed was done under the wrong name and because of that Ford was denying the rebate. Again, this was a mistake they made, not us. When I complained to them about it they said they would take care of it "After you return the Ford follow up survey with a completely satisfied resolution and handling of concerns status. [the rep] insists the survey must be done first." Foolishly, I filled out the survey per their request and now it has been almost a year since we ordered the vehicle and they still can't seem to get the rebate approved. I may purchase another Ford vehicle in the future, but I will NEVER come back to this location and I would caution...
Read moreI was looking for a preowned truck to be able to haul loads of materials for yard work, and be within my monthly budget range so that I can increase my credit score. We are planning to build a cat-proof fence so that our furry family members can have an outdoor sanctuary since they're both feral.
Having been to other vehicle lots and not quite satisfied with the quality of the vehicles nor the price, my father suggested to visit Ford. I thought that dealerships would have sky-rocket prices compared to used vehicle lot owners, however we found an amazing 2016 Ford F-150 with having only one owner previously. It was priced at about $10k less the others. So, then I thought, maybe it will have more problems than the other vehicles. It was beginning to snow with thick, heavy, combined snowflakes, and Tim Kopmeyer comes out to greet us. He asked me what I was looking for. I told him about our projects we're planning, my monthly price range, and that I'm trying to increase my credit score.
We looked at other vehicles after taking that 2016 Ford F-150 on a test drive (it was in a much better condition than the vehicles we tested earlier that day!), and Tim could have sold me a much more expensive vehicle (about 3x my budget) because I had my eyes on it since visiting Ford, however, he brought me back to reality and reminded me that I was working on my credit. He's right, and I knew right then and there that he was really trying to help me rather than to make more money off of me. He also told me that the new vehicle I was going to purchase was not as strong as the 2016 Ford F-150. I'm grateful for that because I prefer to have a vehicle that will help me get the yard done easily. We appreciate him for everything he's done for us. He was very patient with us, always nice, and making sure we were comfortable.
There were a couple of others who was helping Tim help us, and we want to extend our gratitude to them as well. Nash Nowaczyk was able to find me a very low interest rate that I didn't know existed for used vehicles. It's even better than if I were to purchase a new vehicle! Nash was also very nice to us, and patient with us as well. He always had a big, friendly smile that made us comfortable around him. Brian McIntyre helped us with the paperwork, and he too was very nice. He was concise, and clarified anything we needed to know.
Our experience at Ford was a wonderful one! We walked out that day with an amazing truck. Already drove it down to Iowa that weekend, and there was nothing wrong with it. No shaking, no noise, no leakage, and no suspicious smell. I'm glad I trusted Tim when he told us that they make sure the vehicle is in its best possible condition before they would sell it to us. Thank you Tim, and thank you...
Read moreDO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP! INEPT SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND DECEITFUL SALES TACTICS! SUBPAR USED VEHICLES AND DOWN RIGHT UNETHICAL!!!
Another update: Shane Mason & Tony Baker, refused to respond to emails! Promised to “make things right” when I contacted the state and did nothing! This dealership clearly has unethical business practices and will do anything they can to sell you a defective vehicle and make money.
Update: This dealership has it so you cannot email the general manager or the sales manager via email, it comes back as blocked. That tells me everything I need to know about how they do business! It’s been a week and still no response from the dealer!
Don’t make the same mistake I did, buy your used vehicle from a trusted and ethical dealership. If they don’t offer at least a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty they sell junk! At least take it to a capable mechanic to have it looked over prior to purchase!
I’ll start out by saying I did everything wrong with this purchase, I trusted the dealership. I was rushed to find a vehicle, and after a bad experience at another dealer earlier in the day, I rushed into this purchase. I should have taken it to a trustworthy mechanic to look it over first!
I bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (80k miles) from this dealer a week ago. Night one, once it was in an enclosed garage, I could smell antifreeze. The next day I started looking the vehicle over closer and man did I find many very obvious problems. Problems that any capable repair technician should have seen. So either this dealer knowingly sold a vehicle with undisclosed issues or their mechanics are inept.
The issues are as follows: Leaking end tank on the radiator Leaking oil cooler - puddle of antifreeze in the valley of the engine Rear subframe bushings pulling out & broken Leaking and degrading engine mounts Broken off windshield washer nozzle Wheels with no wheel weights on them (out of balance)
When I reached out to my sales guy he promptly brushed me off to manager. She explained that their used cars come with no warranty but acknowledged that the buyers guide on the vehicle did not disclose any of the many issues I found and that she would like me follow up with any documentation.
That same day I replied with a detailed list of the issues and photos documenting them. Did I get a response? No, of course not. Did I get a response to my follow up email days latter? No. I have not driven this vehicle since the day after I bought it! If I were to fix all these issues myself it would be over 1,000.00 just in parts. If a mechanic fixed the issues it would be well over 5,000!
I have learned my lesson about this dealer and hope that I can warn other to stay away! Hopefully they will step up and do...
