Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Madison

I'm not giving one star because the actual sandwich was the only thing I liked about this place. AC was obviously broken when we walked in...super humid and everyone was sweating. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and the soap dispenser was empty...and then the paper towel dispenser was broken too. Really tried to brush that all off so we wait in line for about ten minutes while 4 employees worked at everyone's lunch order (NBD). I finally ordered my food, and asked about the AC. One of the employees said it's been horrible and like this for a few days now. I couldn't imagine working behind that oven... She was trying to be positive and said "hey, it's only 81!" Lol poor girl Anyways, we went to sit down and eat and I realized the fourth person in our group was still waiting because she ordered a hot sub. Well....TWENTY minutes later after us three are finished eating, she finally gets hers. The employees are kind, but that was definitely not worth the outrageous wait. Apparently someone else heard the employees say that they have to take care of online orders...

How do you run out of bread at 2pm?? Came to this location twice and they were out of Rosemary Parmesan bread at 2pm. First time still got sandwich on different bread but there was barely any meat on it. Second time I stated we would not be ordering, all the workers acted like I gave them a present. They were so excited to tell me sorry and continued in loud, condescending voices to tell us to have a great day as we were walking out of the store. Who acts this way? I was not rude nor did I say anything except that we would not be ordering anything. Terrible customer service, incompetent staff and organization. Not to mention staff do not change their gloves after using pens, touching paper or other items, even cashiering. Gross and unsanitary. And then they can’t even have enough bread to get them through a day. Why pay the high prices for their sandwiches when you can’t even have it on the bread you want or within health standards? Too many good places around where you don’t have to deal with this type of service. Will...

So ordered online for pickup. Came in at the time at said and my order wasn’t ready. I saw a few employees on their phones and in the back. I’m assuming they are making my food. But another customer came up and they asked her about her order. I’ve already been waiting there 5 mins and no one approached me. So I asked about mine. The employee said it’s being made and looked confused. There were about 5 tickets that were printed that I’m assuming they ignored. Mine finally got made, but they put it on the back counter instead of handing it to me. So finally I guess she remembered that I was standing there and gave me my food. I took my food and I guess she wanted me to say thank you. I just took the bag and walked towards the door. She yelled out You’re Welcome rudely. I turned and told her why I didn’t say thank you.
