A perfect Rehearsal dinner, and an excellent experience. A couple of months prior, I had dinner there with my son and his fiance, and the meal was delicious, and we were in agreement. I booked it for their rehearsal dinner. The head count was hovering around 40 (BIG bridal party!) and the staff at L'Allegria could not have been more accommodating. The staff is friendly, willing to explain or answer questions and quite flexible. We knew we had some vegan/vegetarians attending, and asked if they could do a Pasta Primavera with no cheese, and they came up with a delicious dish. The menu offerings for events are extensive, there is a huge list from which to choose, so we went with three proteins, choosing the Chicken Parmigiana, the Braised Beef Short Ribs and the Salmon with Fine Herbs, in addition to the aforementioned pasta dish. We began with the House Salad, no onions, and people had their pick of the four choices listed. The restaurant offered a wide selection of wine and beer, and we chose a the assorted mini pastries, (which were also really delectable), for the dessert. You pay for the meal, the drinks and a gratuity. Obviously, I could only estimate the booze tab, but the rest of the charges were completely straight forward. The service was flawless, the wait staff are professional and gracious, and the whole evening went off without a hitch. Yes, it can be pricey, but you get what you pay for, and the quality and service were worth it. Highly recommended!

This was our third visit to L’Allegria, and once again, it did not disappoint. We kicked off the evening with some expertly crafted cocktails, the Aspiral Spritz for me and an Old Fashioned for my husband. Both were absolutely delicious and set the tone for a great meal. We started with their Margherita pizza, which deserves a special mention. The dough is allowed to rise not just once, but three times before baking, and the result is a crust that’s light, perfectly crunchy, and full of flavor. You can really taste the care that goes into every step. For my main course, I had the sea bass, cooked to perfection and bursting with fresh, delicate flavors. My husband went with the gnocchi al ragú, which he’s still raving about. The texture was just right, soft and pillowy, and the sauce was rich and satisfying. All in all, L’Allegria continues to impress us every time. It’s hands-down the best Italian restaurant in Florham Park. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This restaurant is music to anyone who can truly appreciate and has a passion for good, authentic food. It is owned by my husband’s family but I’m not biased in my review. I’ve learned to appreciate GOOD food since my first dining experience here. L’Allegria is more authentic than many restaurants in Italy nowadays. Saverio’s lobster is fantastic. Traditional and classic decor. Great wine list. Perfect place to make wonderful memories. This restaurant has been in town for more than I’ve been alive and is still going strong. For dinner or parties such as rehearsal, birthdays or other celebrations there are plenty of private rooms. L’Allegria - where the flavor is the essence.

What a lovely meal! We were celebrating our recent engagement and it was the perfect place to do so. The food was delicious and the ambiance was exactly what we hoped for. I think we've found a new special occasion restaurant!

I had the steamed clams appetizer with sausage and roasted peppers which was absolutely outstanding. My fiance had the strozzapreti pasta which was perfectly al dente and in a delicious fresh tomato sauce. I got veal marsala which reminded me of how my grandmother used to make it. I wasn't super impressed with my dessert (a white layer cake with cannoli cream and pistachio icing) but the chocolate and mocha tartufo was absolutely delicious. Our server Susan very thoughtfully brought over a little extra dessert with a candle for us which was tasteful and very appreciated. We absolutely cannot wait to go back and try more on the...
