I don’t even know where to start! First off, I moved in from NJ recently and been asking locals around for a Peruvian restaurant nearby in Madison, and multiple people have told me about Amar Peru! Well, today was the day I took them up on that, and it was by far one of my best decisions since coming to town! 10/10 recommendation through & through. The second I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and energy leading to where you normally wait to get seated, and since we came early in the afternoon, we were able to seated rather quickly. Ambience was great and the attention to detail was well executed from decor, to silver and plate ware. Our drinks were extremely fresh and made me feel like I was on an island, the mango margarita had a grip on me and I couldn’t stop smiling. At this point I’m so exited for my food, and as it arrived I was taken back by the amount of flavor per bite of our appetizer the Trio De Causas Amarperu! Didn’t even have my main course out yet and I wanted to order another! Delish! Then our main course arrived Lomo Saltado and Chaufa and I knew I had to take some pictures, because this was going to get review-worthy. Quality and explosive flavor in EVERY bite of food, and sip of our drinks, and excellent attitude and hospitality from our host. Not to mention a last minute dessert! I am not a fan of Flan, nor cheesecake because of the textures, however the flan served to us was truely an experience worth having! We recently had the pleasure of dining at AmarPeru today, marking my first experience with Peruvian cuisine, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck us as both elegant and inviting. The decor was sophisticated, setting the perfect tone for a delightful meal.

Upon our arrival, the executive chef greeted us with a warm smile, which immediately made us feel welcomed. With our excitement, we dove into the menu and decided to sample a variety of dishes: lomo saltado, paella, ceviche mixto, truffle yuca fries, and anticucho. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing just the right balance of flavors.

We savored every bite, feeling completely satisfied yet still we left a room for dessert. We chose to indulge in alfajores, arroz con leche, and pisco tres leches. She even has us try the passion fruit juice and one of their specialty dessert. Desserts were the perfect ending to our meal, the ideal balance of sweetness and texture that we craved.

Overall, our experience at AmarPeru was fantastic! We left feeling full and happy, already planning our return to explore more of their culinary offerings. It was a wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in a different culture's cuisine, and I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended for anyone looking to try something new and delicious.

What a great find. It has a modern classic feel to the atmosphere. The decor was homage to their Peruvian culture. It's a family operation. Mom and dad were in the kitchen and their daughter greeted and served. We started with Pisco Sours, which a popular drink shared by Chile, Argentina, and Peru. This was "mom's recipe" and it did not disappoint. She even came over to say hi to us, so I got a chance to compliment her and order another. My wife and I like to go family style so we can try more of the menu. We ordered the ceviche to share. The flavors were superb. Perfect texture. The presentation was very professional. I highly recommend. The other dish we shared was the Trio Amarperú. "3 Loves of Peru" it was presented like a sushi. Different potatoes purees with crab, chicken, and Tuna. I really like avocado stuffed in the purple potatoes. It's Hard to pick a favorite. If you don't like seafood, they have a land and sea menu.
