Let me just say — Romanelli’s absolutely nailed it. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with genuine smiles and that classic small-town hospitality that instantly makes you feel like family. The staff here aren’t just friendly — they actually care about what they’re serving and about the people they’re serving it to. You can tell they take real pride in their work, and that sense of warmth carries right through to the food.
When I opened the box, I knew I was in for something special. That aroma — fresh dough, bubbling cheese, and perfectly balanced tomato sauce — is the kind of smell that stops you in your tracks. What I found inside was a textbook example of what a New Jersey pizza should look like: a beautifully golden, slightly blistered crust with just the right char around the edges, a bright layer of sauce peeking through, and a smooth, even blanket of melted mozzarella stretching from slice to slice.
The first bite confirmed everything. The crust had that perfect crunch when you fold it, yet still soft and chewy on the inside — absolute perfection. The sauce was rich and flavorful, with that ideal balance of tang and sweetness, while the cheese had just the right stretch and saltiness. Each ingredient complemented the other, no part overpowering — just pure harmony in every bite.
What really sets Romanelli’s apart, though, is the consistency and care they put into every pie. You can tell this isn’t some rushed, assembly-line pizza. This is made by people who know what they’re doing, who’ve mastered the art of simplicity done right. From the crisp edge to the center of the pie, every bite delivered that nostalgic, old-school, New Jersey flavor that’s getting harder to find these days.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or taking home a whole pie to share, Romanelli’s is one of those rare spots where everything just feels right — from the friendly faces behind the counter to the unforgettable pizza they serve. If you’re anywhere near Madison, do yourself a favor and grab a pie from Romanelli’s. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why you fell in love with pizza in the...

Read moreI work for St. HUBERT'S in Madison, NJ. Our company orders from Romanellis fairly often and brings them a decent amount of business. I love the food and people! Until TODAY. The one delivery man who has an accent was ridiculous and unbelievably RUDE!! He comes off rude because he was mad that I didn't answer my phone when he arrived. Well, my phone didn't ring not once! Long story short he went to the wrong door and gave me such an attitude about it. Whomever I spoke with on the phone must've given him the wrong info when I placed my order bc the lady seemed to of had my address and details already in the computer. I then tell the man I have to run to the front to get change so I can give you a tip and he arrogantly said "I don't have time to wait"...and ran out the door. Needless to say I will not be tipping this man ever if he returns to us. Not punishing other people for his bad customer service! I'll still be ordering...
