This experience was as bad as the other one star reviews state. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant for dinner. We checked in and were told to sit down anywhere. About 5 to 10 minutes later the woman from behind the counter finally brought us menus. When I asked if they had a liquor license and served margaritas, she pointed to the sign right above my head taped to the window and said nothing further and seemed to roll her eyes. It was a photo of a strawberry margarita. She then left the table. No explanation, no greeting, no warmth. Another 10 to 15 minutes later she took our order. I decided not to order a margarita based on a lack of explanation. Our food came reasonably quickly and was delivered to our table by the same woman without saying much. She just set the plates down in front of us and left. She did seem to speak and understand English fairly well, so I donât think it was a language barrier. The food was mediocre at best, but as a former server, I was really disappointed in the service and lack of reception. We honestly could not wait to get out of there. When it came time to pay the bill, the server came and asked âare you readyâand had the little machine with her. I asked her if she was going to bring us the check. She just stared at us and then asked âdo you want a copy?â My BF already had his card out and gave it to her without a bill. I asked for the copy and she brought it to us afterwards again without wishing us well or saying goodbye. I read that the original person who took over the Daisy CafĂ© and started this place no longer works here. It seems that the people who run this place now donât have any restaurant experience. Itâs a shame because this is a good spot for something new. We wonât be back. My guess is this restaurant wonât last...
Read moreHonestly the worst restaurant service I have ever experienced. We walk in and the waitress asks us for a table of how many - no greeting, smile, or friendliness - fine. As we walk to the table, my mother asks if we can sit at a table by the window. The waitress immediately responds âIâm busyâ and shrugs us off. The other table was clear of plates and ready so my parents try to talk to her about why. As we are sort of waiting around for an answer, a white couple walks in and she immediately greets them and tells them they can sit wherever. They take the table that we asked about, at that point my parents are still trying to figure out what happened but a bit irritated by that. I mention race because although the waitress seemed Hispanic it almost felt like a racist response to them. She refused to interact with them or give them her name. My (white) fiancĂ©e is now waiting by the door and the waitress greets her and asks her if sheâs looking for a table or takeout. She responds that sheâs with us. Funny because my fiancĂ©e is the one who initially responded to her letting her know we needed a table for four, just goes to show how little attention she was paying to us. Honestly it was a bummer because it was all a late birthday celebration for her with my parents. I donât know what was going on with the waitress. I donât know if she was already in a bad mood but the fact that my parents and I were the only non white customers there and the treatment we got just felt very bad. As we were leaving a saw a receipt on the bar with the name Irma M. if that was still her then I really hope this doesnât happen to...
Read moreThe food was certainly good but from the moment we walked through the door the waitress was rude, I mean extremely rude. There were only three other tables taken, however she gave us the last table against the wall. The place was almost empty but it took her 15 minutes to come to the table. No smile, no greeting, nothing. She brought my soda in the can and got angry when I asked for a glass with ice. We were always nice to her. It took her 10 more minutes to bring the glass. When eveyone else left, about an hour later, she turned the music up very loudly. When we paid our bill I told her (still very nicely) that the music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other. She then turned around angrily and didn't respond a word. I asked her as she was walking away "did you hear me?" and she kept walking. We won't return which is a pity because we liked the food but we won't expose ourselves to such rudness. What you pay in a restaurant is not only the food, it is also a...
