Wilson's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Madison

Just woke up, craving breakfast, and feeling lazy. Wilson's was the first thing that popped into my head. Only been there a couple of times, but the prime rib breakfast is great. Even better than my next favorite, the Scrambler (with corned beef) at Mickey's Dairy Bar. I guess Wilson's only does the breakfast on Sundays now. Hope they still do the prime rib breakfast. I thought it was always a Saturday morning when I went, but I haven't been out to eat anywhere since COVID hit. Memory maybe not as good, so I don't know. Might go tomorrow, especially if they have the prime rib breakfast. Last time I was there, I also got to see a Badger basketball game with my great breakfast. Just wish I lived closer! Always treated very well by the staff, too!!! 5+...

The waiter (I think he is the owner) was the rudest person I've ever encountered. I met some people there and 30 seconds after I got there he came by to take our orders. I asked for a minute to decide and he said "Minute's up. What do you want?" The food was so terrible I lost my appetite after 2 bites. When he came by to get our payment, apparently he was in such a hurry that when it took a few seconds to get the credit card out of the wallet, he grumbled and stormed off, and came back 10 minutes later with an aggressive "Are you ready yet?" Went in for breakfast on Saturday. It took 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge I was there. We ordered food which took about another half hour. We ordered a beer while waiting for food, one of the glasses had a hair at the top of the glass, the next beer that came out had a hair on the side of the glass. Service was terrible. The eggs Benedict hollandaise looked like it was curdled. Poach eggs were barely cooked, The hashbrowns were with cheese and onions , but the onions were barely cooked.
