I had the pleasure of dining at Yako Sushi House for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing break during the day. 🕊️🍣

I started with the Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Yellowtail, and Salmon Avocado Roll from the lunch menu—all were bursting with flavor 🌶️🍣 and incredibly fresh 🐟🥑. The balance of spice 🌶️ and texture in the tuna and yellowtail rolls was just right, and the creamy avocado paired perfectly with the fresh salmon. Alongside, I enjoyed a comforting bowl of miso soup 🍜 and a crisp, refreshing house salad 🥗. Both were simple yet spot-on, making for great complements to the sushi.

Feeling adventurous, I also ordered the Eel Avocado Roll 🐟🥑, which was rich and savory, and two pieces of Yellowtail Sashimi. The sashimi was perfection—delicate, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good 🤤. The quality and freshness of the fish really stood out, and each bite left me wanting more 😋.

The presentation of the dishes was beautiful 🎨🍱, and the service was top-notch 💯. The staff was attentive and quick to offer recommendations, making the whole experience even more enjoyable 😊.

Hidden Gem ! I have only been here for lunch in a couple occasions and that is for take out . Both times have been incredible food and flavors . This is a hidden gem in Madison ! I look forward to sitting in and having dinner here soon.

The fried shrimp tempura appetizer is light and crunchy with perfectly cooked shrimp. I could eat two servings of this easily . The tempura is light and has no grease or oily residue which is a plus in my book !

Lightly fried gyoza with a pork filling and soy sauce dipping on the side are delicious . Six pieces in the appetizer portion . Very well prepared .

Lunch special options include a combo of two or three mix and match sushi rolls at really good price . I did the three versions and it was very filling and super delicious. The spicy yellowtail roll is well balanced , shrimp tempura roll is generous with a great sauce and the spicy salmon is also very good .

Their menu shows some specialty rolls that I will be trying for sure next time I stop in .

Tried for the first time and was unfortunately disappointed. Online ordering had no confirmation or time estimate. I showed up 30 minutes after ordering and had to sit another 20 to get my food. It was not crowded in there but they did seem to have a good number of takeout orders. It was a Tuesday night. The food was very underwhelming. First place I've been that my sashimi meal didn't come with any salad or soup or something. Most of the fish was of "fine" quality, not special. The tuna actually looked to be fairly high quality but the cut was all off such that I had these big cube-like chunks that were freezing in the middle. Other reviews mention real Wasabi but note you need to order that special, it's not standard. Girlfriend's seaweed salad was dried out like it had been left sitting out, and the rice in her rolls was too heavy on the vinegar.
