IF YOU OR SOMEONE WITH YOU HAS A DISABILITY DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!! We only come to Madisonville for my FILs doctors appointments and he was craving hibachi so we stumbled upon this establishment. Immediately after being seated the waitress asked if we were ready to order. I told her we’ve never been here and need a little bit to decide. Not even 3 minutes she was back asking what we wanted to order. My FIL has dementia and confused himself easily so he placed his order then got confused and thought he ordered the wrong thing. I was helping him and as I’m doing so the waitress has the nastiest look on her face as if she didn’t have time to deal with one minute of confusion mind you this was lunch time and we were one of maybe 15 patrons in the entire building all of which had their meals as we were ordering. My FIL asks her if he’s able to order more food if the lunch box wasn’t a big enough portion, considering we’ve never been there and she was zero help with any wuestions, and she just stares at him with this dead facial expression again as if this isn’t her job and she’s doing volunteer work. As she’s staring at him all she could worry about was taking his menu away not even trying to understand what he was asking. My FIL speaks very clearly so this is a her problem. Our food came out and the hibachi chef was very nice no issues there or with food taste. The pathetic excuse of a human you’ve hired as a waitress never once came to check on us besides asking if we wanted a refill shortly after our food came out. They were quick to bring everyone at the table, not just us, their check and a to go box. She was so aggressive and rude that the people next to us that were complete strangers spoke up on how nasty she was to us. They said, and I quote, “she was looking at him like he was crazy.” She never came back to take our payment even though she did get the families next to us payment from the table. We walked to the front to pay and the gentleman asked us how everything was so I said “the food was good but your waitstaff is incredibly rude” he then looks at our ticket and says “you got teriyaki so it’s not hibachi it’s from the kitchen” I responded with “the food wasn’t the problem and I asked prior to ordering if it was ok to order the lunch box at the hibachi table and was told yes” he had a stupid look on his face and didn’t say anything so I again said “your waitstaff is incredibly rude” to which he didn’t say sorry or anything he literally had nothing to say as if he genuinely didn’t care. This pathetic excuse of a restaurant needs some serious training on how to interact with the disabled community. Please spend your money...
Read moreAs far as the food quality, it’s the world’s okay-est sushi/hibachi. The hibachi chicken and shrimp were both dry as well as the beef negimaki, and everything was desperate for dipping into any kind of sauce to lift the flavor and texture. When I’ve ordered deep fried sushi rolls, it was a similarly thick coating of batter to what you would find on a corn dog! I am not new to sushi or deep fried rolls for that matter, but I’ve never had anything like this, and I definitely wasn’t missing out!
The service doesn’t rate high: there was utter confusion when simply asked what flavor the Japanese soda is. We decided to opt for water. We ordered juice for our kids and received a Shirley Temple. We asked about it, and they told us it was juice.
I’m sorry to say this place is best suited as a quick takeout option where your expectations are on the lower side and you go with some cheaper...
Read moreI hate to write a bad review, I’ve been getting take out from here for years now, but in the times I’ve gotten food from here recently, the quality has gone down severely. The sushi is made sloppily and remnants of avocado, roe, and ingredients from other sushi have been inside the rolls I order (which are very simple), however the worst thing happened very recently, there was an eyelash in the soup that I ordered. It makes me sad to say it, but the quality of the food and even the sanitation should probably be taken into consideration. I hope these problems will be fixed in the future, but for now I think I’m done eating here. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt the need to let other...
