Huddle House — Restaurant in Madisonville

When we first got in, it was good, we were seated and they took our drink orders. She brings our drinks and one of the people I’m with notices a bug in her drink, she hands it to the waitress and then she goes and fixes the drink and then goes to take a couples order who arrived 10 minutes after us, they even got their food before we got to order anything other than drinks.

When it’s time to pay the waitress brings over our receipts and half the tickets are rung up wrong. I handed mine back because someone else’s item they ordered was on mine. I was expecting her to come back within a few minutes, but instead of fixing my receipt, she goes outside with the only 2 other workers who are cooks and they take a 5 minute smoke break. The cooks come in before she does and they are both staring at our table. When she does get back we go up there to pay and she tries to charge me $38, when she had handed me my receipt before the smoke break it said $22 but it should have been less because I asked that she take the item off the receipt that wasn’t mine. I paid with card and she automatically clicked no thanks on the tip part because I know she knows she messed up with how we were serviced.

I tip every time I eat anywhere, this was only my second time here and I was looking forward to the for the same atmosphere I had been in the first time I went, but we don’t always get what...

I work here, and just want to say, I personally care about each individual I have the pleasure to serve,as well as love our food. If it isn't something I'd eat I will refuse to serve this. If ever there is a problem, you're problem is my problem, through the layoffs during covid, I had missed each n everyone of my regular customers and am so pleased to meet many new ones or traveling families! My opinion if for breakfast try the map for a good deal on a large breakfast or the bacon sausage stuffed hashbrowns, for hunch ya cant go wrong with a good Philly sandwich n ours is bar non the best Philly iv had at any resteraunt, or the mushroom Swiss burger, it has garlic mayo on it, and something about how the mayo n the caramelized onions come together is just..ahhh..its good yall, or if you're thinking supper...its all good, but go for the country fried steak!! I put brown gravy on mine rather than white and its a very filling hearty dinner meat, u also get 2 sides with it!! Person side would be our okra!!! Yuhmmm...again, thank you for continuing to support me n my family during the tough times and if ya haven't tried us out, come see me, n let me adopt ya into my little huddle family n eat...

On 3/28/18 in the evening only 1 waitress and 1 cook for the dinner shift. We waited 45 minutes for 3 meals. One person ordered a breakfast and we saw it get cooked first and then sat on a counter while he made the other two orders, one was chopped steak and the other was country fried steak, both of which take much longer to prepare than eggs, hash browns and sausage. When we finally got our food most of it was cold. When she delivered the order she said the waffle will be right out. We finished and while paying she said she was sorry and asked me if I wanted the waffle to go. I informed her we were not going straight home and the waffle would sit in the car for a couple of hours, so no you can just throw it out. I never once saw a manager. But I did see a family of 5 come in and sit there unattended for 10 minutes and then leave. I would recommend going...
