I just gotta say ive never had fried peppers or even heard of them til i came here and they are the 💣💥! My bff and i came to try the food out for the first time. We both got the bbq plate with cole slaw and baked potato salad for our sides. The sides were really good but our bbq looked like we got the last of the days meat. You know like the burnt ends and dried out pieces with a few moist pieces still there. I thank they close at 5 and we got there close to three so i felt like it was the bottom of the barrel meat because the hour of the day.. BUT!.. i will go back.. the sides were really good and those peppers! Needless to say i went back THE NEXT DAY at 10min til they were closing.. bcuz of the holiday weekend.. and got a order to go with extra ranch and omg! I LOVE fried pickles and mushrooms.. but these are my absolute new love! Gotta try them if you havent had them or if you have try these and compare bcuz i cant imagine any that could be better than these! You get a really decent amount for like $7.. $6.?? Im so sorry i dont remember exactly but i truly believe you wont be disappointed! It was a very nice surprise to find this great discovery! Swaggy P's.. ☆☆☆☆½ on my rating only bcuz of the meat.. i believe its prolly a easy 5☆ place.. clean, extremely nice ppl, several options to choose from with a big coffee n snack (again idr the name) menu. Ima choose to say the meat was just one of those times.. dont knock it on my review.. try it.. i will go again bcuz they have a chicken (smothered chicken?) that sounds amazing. So dont knock it til YOU try it.. and plz...
Read moreFirst time we have ever had service that really didn’t care. We were seated fast in the coffee room and our waitress Haley came in soon after. While my wife was at the bar getting a latte, Haley took our order, turned and left without a word. All three tables had people seated in there and we had our order taken first then the other waitresses took their orders. My coffee arrived soon after we ordered and that was the last time we saw our waitress for 20 minutes, and that was after eye contact was made while looking at the door. Coffee refilled and the other two tables were served their food while we waited for ours, and as I watched another table get seated in the main dining room by another couple. The two tables in our room finished eating and the one in the dining room had been served while we still were waiting. After another 20 or so minutes we got up to leave and Haley walks in with more coffee. I explained to her about the other tables and she said OK, turned and left never saying anything else. Never have I had that type of service there and was disappointed that a biscuit/ gravy w/egg and a waffle w/bacon could be that hard to fix. I know the place was busy but Not sure what happened. But with no one checking the tables to see if their customers were ok, they become out of sight and out of mind. We have been there many times and always enjoy the food and was looking forward to another good meal but it...
Read moreToday was my first visit ever, and to be honest...not very impressed.
We walked in and had to wait for a short period of time (roughly 2 minutes)before we were acknowledged by what I assumed to be the hostess who immediately passed us on to our waitress whom lead us promptly our table/booth. I believe in the food industry the hostess was to greet and seat the patrons, and your waitress came just shortly after?? Did this standard change??
Ordered a coffee, when it arrived it was hot of course, but....I've made better at my own home. It tasted watered down and a bit old.
My wife ordered a specialty Decaf coffee of some sort, and it did not reach our table until we were just about done eating almost 30 minutes from the time we were seated and drink orders taken.
I had the Swaggy P's signature breakfast dish(pictured), 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and biscuit and gravy and a waffle.
Eggs were cooked to order, the Slab Bacon was fair, and the waffle....well it was a waffle.
My issue with my order was the biscuit and gravy.
My biscuit was pasty, and not fully cooked. The gravy tasted just like Pioneer gravy mix that I get at Walmart with sausage broken up and added into it. Really doesnt have that homemade feel or taste to it at all.
My wife had the Smothered Biscuit Platter, she had no issues with her order.
All in all, decent place for...
