"A Slice of Italy in Monroe County at 'The Patio'"
Nestled off the bustling Madisonville town square, 'The Patio' offers a little piece of Italy right here in Monroe County, and it does so with considerable charm. The moment you step through its doors, you're greeted by an ambiance that marries rustic authenticity with modern comfort, setting the stage for an Italian dining experience that's both genuine and delightful.
At the heart of 'The Patio's' success is Ms. Addy, the manager, whose passion for gastronomy and customer service is the cornerstone of the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere. She runs the establishment not just with efficiency, but with a warmth and grace that makes you feel like a VIP. Her ability to remember the small details of her guests' preferences is a rare quality that elevates the dining experience to a personal level.
The menu is a well-curated selection of classic and contemporary Italian dishes, each prepared with a focus on fresh ingredients and traditional flavors. Standout dishes such as their creamy risotto and the perfectly al dente pasta speak to the kitchen's dedication to Italian culinary traditions. The pizzas, with their robust toppings, are a must-try and easily rival those found in the trattorias of Italy!!

The only areas where 'The Patio' might see improvement would be in expanding perhaps offering a few more adventurous specials to entice the regulars.
The outdoor dining area is yet another delightful aspect of 'The Patio', capturing the al fresco dining style of Italy perfectly. It's a tranquil spot for a romantic dinner or a lively gathering with friends and family, accompanied by the soft melodies of Italian music.

Read moreSat down to eat dinner with my wife and daughter. We got our drinks pretty fast. We had never been there before so we wanted to take our time looking. Not even after reading three lines off of the menu we were asked if we were ready to order. We told our waitress we weren't ready. Another five minutes pass and she comes back to see if we were ready. My wife still wasn't ready but she went ahead and ordered the same thing as me. Another ten minutes goes by and waitress tells us our order would be ready soon. Great to know but we were not in a hurry. She brings our food and the parts of our pasta and meat were cold. It wasn't particularly hot like I or my wife was expecting. Not even a quarter into our meal, the waitress comes back and asks if we would like to go boxes. We had to tell her we weren't even finished with our meals yet. At this point we were beginning to become irritated because we felt rushed. My wife and daughter both decided to go to the bathroom before returning to finish their meals. During the time they were in the bathroom the waitress comes back to ask me AGAIN if we would like to go boxes. At this point I did not want to be there any longer because I felt like we were being ushered out the door. I asked for the ticket. She brought us our ticket and boxes and explained to us that we could either pay at the table or settle the bill at the cash register up front. When we decided to pay up front we were told by three different employees that they could not cash us out that we had to wait for our server to come and settle the bill and she was nowhere to be found. We left cash as our payment and quickly left. We weren't even there for more than 35 minutes. If you want to enjoy your dinner and relax this NOT the place to go. It would be better if this was a fast food joint. Quickest service you will ever receive. Worst first and last impression. We will never be back nor will we ever recommend this...

The place was comfortable and atmosphere was great.
There was at least 8 wait staff on at the time we were there for a lunch hour and for it being a Wednesday I felt was a little much.

When we got seated they took our drink order and brought out bread sticks. And they are hot and fresh very yummy 😋
And then we got the combo platter for appetizers.
Zucchini sticks were my absolute favorite! I asked for honey 🍯 mustard and I was not disappointed 🤤 I would say one of the best tasting honey mustards I've had... went well with all things on the combo platter I must say lol
Mozzarella sticks were tasty, breading was thick, and sauce was tasty!
Fried mushrooms were pretty good.
The chicken tenders... not impressed... very processed and not much good flavor going on... do not recommend.
And then we ordered the Ravioli Alfredo and I saw you could add bacon 🥓 and spinach... so I did... I also asked for onion to be added... it was all great flavor and the Raviolis were super tender and tasty... tho I was sad about how the onion was prepared... it's like they flash steamed a handful and threw it on top... and the bacon and spinach were cut up so small that you could taste the bacon but could hardly notice the spinach.
So basically I would return to this place... there are lots more to explore here and we had a pleasant experience here.
So I...
