I don’t say much but I observe everything and the first thing I observed was not being greeted not once my entire time standing there waiting on my order. I did a mobile order and got there a little early so I decided to walk in and wait instead of sitting in the car just incase my food got ready early. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE SAID ANYTHING!! Not a hey, welcome, can I take your order, are you waiting on an order NOTHING! I was in there for OVER 10 minutes and not ONE PERSON addressed even my existence! After about 7 mins of waiting, another lady (white) walked in and stood right on the side of me at that. 2 people immediately swarmed to her to see what she needed and she even got her food before I did. Now granted, she did have a mobile order as well so it could have been placed b4 mine but that was not at all my point. People love to say all black people like to do is use the race card but you literally make it so obviously that our very existence bothers you when you work in a CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION and can’t service/treat other races as you do your own. What’s even more crazy is that if I would have addressed my concerns, I would have all of a sudden been the one in the wrong somehow. DO BETTER. I watched the girl at the front counter take selfies, horseplay around with the other employees and even eat some of the food from the back but I couldn’t even get a welcome to McAlisters! Read moreTonight (7/27/19) I ordered food online from the Magee, Mississippi McAlister’s Deli. When I went to pick it up, the staff verified exactly my order and even the receipt showed the correct order. When I get to eat it, like half the ingredients was missing. So I called back up and asked to speak to a manager and wanted to just bring the food back and get a refund. They said “okay” and then just hung up while I was still speaking to them. My wife called back asking to speak to the same manager and wanting an explanation for the extremely rude and childish behavior of the manager, she in turn I suppose was only pretending to be the manager and then said someone else was. She said she just didn’t have anything else to say to us, which is why she hung up. Regardless of if I still had things to talk about. She said she would refund the money without us having to return and we should expect the return in 24hrs and then hung up on us again. I have little to no hope that I will actually see my return. I really hope the REAL store manager or franchise owner sees this review and reaches out to me to make things right. I’m a veteran and a first responder, I worked over 300 hours this month to earn the vacation I am taking. Sucks to have it start off like this. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Read moreToday was the worst customer service experience I’ve had is a long time. I have eaten at this location numerous times and never experienced anything like today. Changing the staff was not the best for this business.
The cashier was very immature and seemingly goofy which caused her attentiveness to lack. In my opinion, she would be better off cleaning tables and having minimal direct customer contact.
Secondly, the restaurant was not clean and things needed restocking, etc. Again, this has never been my experience with any McAlister location to this degree.
Lastly, when I realized the au jus sauce was missing from my order, I requested the sauce. The girl in the window drilled me about the sauce and when she realized that I, in fact, ordered the roast beef sandwich she rolled her eyes and threw the sauce in the window. That was my breaking point.
When I asked for the manager, they sent Luke to speak with me. He appeared attentive but did not reassure me that he would deal with issue; however, I had just witnessed Luke telling another worker (Allen) to “. . . get back here.” when he was told something regarding Allen by other coworkers. Considering, I requested a full refund and left the entire order there.
