The Main Scoop — Restaurant in Mahomet

I had some ice cream at The Main Scoop in Mahomet and it was a great little spot. The ice cream was rich and creamy, just how it should be. I tried the Cookie Monster flavor and it was delicious, full of cookie chunks and really fun. I also had the strawberry ice, and I loved that it had real strawberries in it. You can actually taste the difference.

This is a true gem. We need lactose free choices & they have 4 available all the time. The regular ice cream was really delicious , too. The waffle cones are great. It smells amazing in there. The bathroom was clean & cute. The whole building was super cute, fun signs, great decorations, and friendly staff. The also selling old fashion suckers & hard candies. Two words. Cold Brew. This ice cream is amazing. Along with the coffee flavor are small delicate pieces of chocolate, not the big chunks that other brands may have. Only negative is that it’s on a rotation so it’s not always available. The alternative if you’re a coffee fan is Java Chip but I thought the Cold Brew was much better. I would drive from Champaign to Mahomet to get this so I’m glad there’s one opening in Urbana in the...
